Hypothetical question : If someone following 50% LCHF diet and taking 50% medication (100% what he/she was consuming before LCHF) can he/she control the sugar?

Without physical exercises such as walking, running, swimming and cycling, your blood sugar can not be controlled. If you have overweight/obesity, it will have an impact on your body metabolism.

The requirement of insulin outweighs the production of the same. There are individual variations in production and utlization of insulin.

Most likely highly difficult but not impossible. Will depend on insilun<-->glucose efficiency currently in the system and how the diet/pharma tilts that axis. Done wrong high fat (even good fat) with moderate carbs, sure shot way of failure than success.

it is worthwhile to experiment with medicine and diet variations by checking sugar levels yourself and come to conclusion best for your condition as diabetes 2 is progressive disorder and 7 years is too short a period to come to conclusion all is safe long term.

It can be done and results can be seen

But the issue is as time progresses the medication has to increase as you are still on high carbs to the extent of 50% at least

When you have gone to 50% why not make it 100% and get off the rest of medications also

Thanks for recalling my story and wishing you all the best for a drug free life for a long time to come.Just for information, all my other clinical parameters are within reference range.Life has been kind.

Food for thought... logically sounds right... because with age one may not be able to keep activity levels as high🤔🤔

Hmmmm... will yoga also be able to achieve same result?..

Similar to this was mine when I was of his age.

A ‘rowing machine’ at home makes me very comfortable at 69 for strains exercises with LCHF diet.

Engaging in it empty stomach induces HGH regenerating the mussels mass lost aging with carbs earlier.

When you have type 2 diabetes, physical activity is an important component of your treatment plan. It's also important to have a healthy meal plan and maintain your blood glucose level through medications or insulin, if necessary. ... In either case, exercise can reduce the glucose in your blood.
