Basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the amount of energy expended while at rest in a neutrally temperate environment, in the post-absorptive state (meaning that the digestive system is inactive, which requires about twelve hours of fasting)
Exactly shashikantjee...there is no logical explanation as where that extra cholesterol or calories goes....we all do experience more alertness weight loss on lchf....but unable to understand where that extra calories and cholesterol goes...
There is one member who narrates the word "NONSENSE" in each and every line while on 'CARBS"which is itself Nonsense. It gives very bad signal regarding that man. Do not curse each and every time the carbs which is being consumed by humans and a like animals also. It is the gift of a GOD to the humanity so as to live healthy and wealthy.
Dude....keep calm....some ppl got some style when they stress particular point ...and hence they use certain words.
Don't get disturbed for certain words...just try to understand the meaning behind those words...
These ppl who use such words and stress that point got an certain urge to convey msg forcefully to other members....
And tell why they doing so???? for any personal benefits???
Certainly not......they just forcefully put across thoughts and experiences they came across.
Diabetes is problem of carbohydrate metabolism....and so it is but natural that person suffering from such problem must be having anger over carbs....Further....there are many studies...which shows carbs do lots of harm...there are both sides to issue.
just try to understand sentiments behind those words......those ppl really wants you to save from diabetes complications.
If you cut down carbs..u can very well control ur sugar to non diabetic level.
NO ONE IN THIS FORUM WILL DENY THIS FACT.
So dude...my humble request......plz understand the feelings.....don't go by words.......
@Adiabetic2015...Please go and ask any doctor ...if he/she can prove mathematically the dose and medicine prescribed to a patient is right ??The same medicine and dose is prescribed to 55 kg man and same for 65 kg...First you have to show the mathematical proof from any doctor that any medicine prescribed is correct then we will prove mathematically about HIGH CARBS...
Please stop behaving childish
I say 20% carbs are high, Who has fixed this ratio?
Nothing in this world is absolute and fixed.Everything changes as per the perspective.
Karch is right....After bass pass surgery doctors prescribed colsprin 100mg to my mom...now after 20 years when colsprin is not avilable in market when I asked doctors alternate ,he suggested ecosprin. Now colsprin is 100 MG of asprin and ecosprin is 75 MG..I asked doctor about this... He said dose is in general...Not very precise.
Gone are the days when doctors use to have compounder who use to mix dose of medicines as per the prescription and weight of patient.
Now everything is fixed as per the convenience of pharma giants.
The carb quantity is suggested quantity...you may choose as per your choice....
My doctor never prescribed any particular diet to me,since i became diabetic 27 years ago, and going ok,with little medic ens form the last five years. We have evolved our own home made diet pattern which is going fine with me.
It is the duty of everybody to enquirer form your doctor the dosages according to your weight, height, body mass index, BP ETC.ETC. There are different dosages for a 55kg,weight person and of 75kg.person,I say this make sense and make no" NONSENSE"
Also how the high carbs have become NONSENSE,AND LOW CARBS BECOMES SENSE,WHEN CARBS HAVE NO SENSE AT ALL?
A live species particularly human beings have been God gifted with senses,etc.etc. and not a dead ,then how a HIGH CARBS BECOME NONSENSE,WHEN THEY HAVE NO SENSE AT ALL?
Do you mean a particular person who consume high carbs diet as per your yardstick have no sense or he/she is NONSENSE? Then thousands crores of persons will be called as" NONSENSE" persons as per your theory,is it feasible?
There are crors and crors of ppl are on high carbs diet....and they are doing fine.May God keep them doing fine forever....
Carbs is problem with diabetic person only.Diabetes is problem of carbohydrate metabolism.
Here in this forum most of our members are diabetic...and posts are written and directed to diabetic persons only.
Therefore it is said consumption of high carbohydrates are not good for a diabetic.
It is good that you have developed your own diet and it suits you nicely.
After all its your own life.... you must do your own experiments and find out what is suitable for you.
Plz understand this forum is not medical forum....you must read various thoughts of members here...based on those guidelines apply ur own brain and find out what is suitable for you.

So Metamorphin dosage are discrete 250, 500 , 750, 1000, so what will doctor prescribe for 75 kg man and 55 kg man or 5ft 5 man and 6 ft 2 inches man...whats the mathematical formula calculate metamorphin dosage according to weight and height ignoring carbs ....eat sweet and get the dosage according to weight and height ...then see the magic...its not fever that you took fever reducer according to weight and fever is bound to come down ...
Sorry for being harsh ....better to accept the truth and science ...experiment and result theory
My question was the tone and language used for carbs, please do not try to twist. in place of Nonsense it can be said that it is advisable not to use High carbs diet etc.etc. The language used here should be polite and grammatically sound.
All members here are quite matured persons, should talk accordingly.
