LCHF diet post CABG

I am diabetic for past 15 years. Had CABG two years back 4 blocks 90percent blockages. After reading posts on LCHF I want to give a try. Currently sugar not laways under control (90/ 120) but want to slowly and surely get rid of lots of medicines and insulin (18 ml Lantus a day).

My apprehension about LCHF was due to High Fats word connected to my heart ailment. Still shall I go for LCHF?
