Three questions :- 1) What were the CARBS that you gave up eating ??

2) What are the fats that you are currently eating that you were not eating before ?? 3) What is the percentage breakup of carbs, fats and proteins that you are eating today ??

Thanks in advance.

I am greatly thankful to anup, rusticguy & medfree for introducing LCHF which gave me energy as well as good results to fight with diabetes. I feel like starting an award or a Trophy in their name, because one can get rid of diabetes without any medicines.

Dear type2

I am eating all the diet prescribed by Mr. medfree. I am answering your 3 questions one by one.

1. I have avoided all the foods with high glycemic index including wheat, rice, cereals and potatoes and vegetables grown under the ground.

2. I have started eating milk products with full fat cream, butter , fresh cream, paneer etc.

3. Percentage breakup of crabs, fats and proteins I have not calculated. But I mainly depend upon Nuts (including Almonds, Walnuts & peanuts, no cashews ) as it is or soaked in Full fat fresh cream. Omelet made up of eggs or with paneer or with grated salad including, onion, garlic ginger, some carrot, cabbage red & green, shimla mirchy red & green etc. Same salad can be mixed with one day old full fat milk curd also. I do take fish either fried or grilled. i also take small amount of chicken Kebab ( you can take freely Chicken ,fish , pork & meat if your kidney is not damaged ). I take 100 ml. of milk with half spoon of Turmeric powder and a pinch of black pepper preferably at night and some in in the morning also. for oils I have been using Olive oil, Coconut oil, Groundnut oil & pure Desi ghee. Drink Green tea without milk whenever possible. Maximum of one chapati per day that too stuffed with cauliflower and loaded with butter. Some time when I feel hungry I take one piece of bread applying lot of coconut .chutney and slices of cucumber along with green tea. For further clarifications please contact medfree.

In addition I do take Karela juice, amla juice, 5 mg fenugreek seeds soaked in water for over night before every meal, jamun seeds powder etc.

Dear kandaswamy

Please adopt LCHF diet pattern. Keep a watch on your FBS and PPBS numbers till everything is consistently hitting in 120-140 range for PPBS , reduce your diabetic medicines subsequently. AVOID WHEAT, RICE , BREAD & OTHER CEREALS ALTOGATHER OR LIMITING TO 100 gms CARBS. PER DAY.I can suggest some diet patterns as follow.

. 1. Take Hot Veg Soup Non Strained with 30gms full fat milk cream or around 20gm butter ... 1 large cup measuring around 350ml and enjoy this with a 30-50 grams MIXED NUTS ( Almonds, Walnuts & Peanuts, no cashew), OR Paneer Pakodas OR Dal Chillas. 2. Take all dairy products, it should be full fat stuff (so no skimmed stuff), full fat milk curd which is > 1 day old, butter, cheese, clarified butter . 3. No biscuits, cracker, wafers , potatoes chips etc. Being vegetarian it limits your options. 4. If you are not a thyroid patient then add supplement: ALPHA LIPOIC ACID 300mg Capsule OID. (once a day). 5. Add paneer to your menu, and also eggs if you can afford to take, since scientifically eggs are supposed to be a vegetarian diet.6. Restrict to just one chapati/meal. 7. Fruits -- apple and citrus fruits. No JUICES at all. 8. Restrict on carrot, peas and beans, cabbage, cauliflower, shimla mirch and other vegetable having low glycemic index. No potato or potato products at all. 9. DRINK LOTS OF GREEN TEA. IT’S A GOOD DIURETICS. 10. Take vegetarian preparations with salads and of course nice quantity of Chutney made from Coconut and daal etc ... 100gms chutney can be great filler and coconut is source of FAT. Try masala dosa with mashed cauliflower and other vegetables, with peanuts to the masala which adds again good quantity of fat ... mashed cauliflower is a great substitute for potato as far as taste is concerned. 11. Take 100ml milk boiled with turmeric and pepper in morning and the same at night . 12. Every bit of movement and calorie burning counts ... minimum walking for15 minutes after every meal within the house is ok. Never use LIFT. 16. ONE VEGETARIAN DISH : Green Salad comprising 1 pc each of onion, carrot, cucumber, simla mirchi, 1 cup of cabbage. All are cut to small pcs, mix lot of curds to it, also add 2-3 spoons of olive oil. Add 1 cup of cream. In addition as a side plate , have 2 boiled eggs or 1/2 cup of paneer. If required eat any vegetable, not Potato or any thing made of Potatos. 13. Try adding sesame seeds to salad and take nuts upto 100gms.day, take stuff made from coconut. 14. In addition I do take Karela juice, amla juice, 5 mg fenugreek seeds soaked in water for over night before every meal, jamun seeds powder etc.. 15.FOR NON VEGETARIAN : You can take freely Chicken, Meat, Fish, Pork & Eggs ( Whole Egg With Yolk ).

Dear medfree

Due to kidney problem , I used to feel very week & my weight dropped to 63 kg from 73 kg. But after trying LCHF diet, my weight increased to 68 kg & I feel energetic. Due to kidney problem Dr. told me to stop Metformin 500mg and to start Volibose .2mg. After LCHF diet I do not need neither Metformin nor Volibose . I will try to reduce my weight as per your guidance & be energetic at the same time.

Dear SKS,

You are suffering from many years . First controll your bs to below FBS 110 AndPPBS ,<140 by reducing RICE WHEAT RAGI AND ALL GRAINS tO minimum to minimum To 100 grams per day . If u do that for continuesly for one mounth u feel your self LIGHT and YoUr urin redused and burden on kidney redused and bs redused And weight redusing also fallows NOW your bs is controlled by medicine only not by food or by exercise . add to your diet EVERY dairy products .TRY for one or two months u will realise what is the strenth of dairy prouducts. FROM ancient days we are eating dairy prouducts why should be affride . this is only gimic of DRUG INDUSTRY. eat anything MINIMISING GRAINS like RICE WHEAT RAGI etc . FALLOW LCHF DIET U WILL GET RESULTS .
