It depends on what other items you have consumed and how well you controlled your diabetes.If you have eaten a moderate dinner and your sugar levels are in good control,one banana may not be harmful if taken after a time gap after dinner.That is what I do.
If you eat ONLY one banana and nothing else , no harm. But if you eat a banana after a regular dinner it will increase blood sugar.
But tell whether you are a diabetic or not and if yes what is your sugar pattern?
Even a ripe banana in the morning increases the sugar level after six hours
stop eating banana,mango's, beetroot, only one apple a day can be taken and not more.
you can eat unripe d banana, or unripe d mango.
Regular Banana is not good for diabetics. But the small variety called the mountain banana is good late at night before going to bed. It helps in controlling possible hypo at night.

One banana a day may not be harmful, particularly for Type 2 Diabetics. Moreover, not consuming banana will deprive Diabetics from getting the much needed nutrient "potassium", which is useful in strengthening heart muscles.
