Thanks to Medfree and other LCHF followers...
I am now 62,and diabetic for last 22 years.Retired from govt service 4 years back.Prior to this almost for 18 years my sugar levels were FBS 100-to-150 and PLBS-160-to-275..All lipids were also too high (Tg-430.. Chol-260)..(inspite of medicines)..After retirement all levels started coming down may be due to reduction of Job stress and more walking.. But real advantage i got after i joined this Blog in last three months....after following medfree advice.I have reduced my carb intake almost by 6o %....althogh i am yet to start VCO.. but i have increased intake of ghee.
My recent levels... FBS -100.... PLBS-145...A1c-6.5... (Six months back A1c .. Was-7.6.).. HB-13......,chol-107,......TG-119,...LDL-44,........HDL-40...Creatinine-1.3.. MicroAlb-4.00.. I have no other diabetic complications.. My weight is 61kg and height is 5-ft -2 inches.....presently i take Tab Reclimate1-1-1/2...(2)tab Galvus 50... 0-1-0..(3) tab.Rosavel F....0-0-1...(4)tab Calflash..0-0-1..My BP fairly remains constant at 120/80..(no insulin any time). I also take Flax seed 2-3 tea spoons a day..My diet ... Three main foods... Morning tea without sugar with two marri biscuits.....,.Breakfast two eggs omlet with one 9 inch chapati..Lunch subji one chapati and curd, evening tea... Plus nuts like almond peanuts and walnuts..... Dinner-subji,salad,dal one chapati..( plus some times very little rice).....I have tried long wheat ... Not much use to me ..(. Sugar levels rise bit slowly.. thats all)..(Long wheat-khapli gehu is amply available at my hometown Sangli.).. I have been eating it for long time.....
