MY PRESENT STATUS.Pls Advise....

My current report and status.

(1) My age-66, Diabetic T2 for 25 years., well controlled. On LCHF. Have ED, had frozen shoulder, no other major complications.

(2) Weight-60 kg,Ht-157 cm,

(3) Current LAB REPORTS.

(a) HbA1c-5.7 (b) BS-71/106.(c) Fasting Insulin-6.2.(d) Serum Creatinine-1.44.(e) BUN-14.60.(f) eGFR-50. (g) Uric Acid-6.6. (h) calcium-10.26. (i) Vit D-33.(j) Protein-7.5.(k) Vit B12-592.

(4) LIPIDS-Total chol-133,LDL-74.TG-100,HDL-39.

( I am watching my creatinine level for 17 years which is always between 1.10 to 1.45... but no Edema any where,BP well controlled at 130/75. Potassium Normal, 24 hour Urine test Normal, zero MicroAlb)..

(5) Current Medicines-

(a) Tab-Reclimate-1/2-1/2-1/2

(b) Tab-Galvus-1-0-0

(c) Tab-olmezest 10mg-1-0-1

(d) Tab-Ecosprine75-0-0-1.

(e) Tab -Tayo-0-0-1

(f) Tab-supradyn-0-0-1

(g)--NEW prescribed-(For kidney health).Tab NEFROSAVE-1-0-1..(yet to start taking)..

(6) CURRENT DIET-(a) morning Tea-7 am-Sugar less with 2 Marie Biscuits..(b) BF- 9 am-Upma/Poha/(125 gm)/OR egg omelet or boiled eggs(2), slice of cheese or Amul butter.

(c) 11.30 am -apple/pear -- @100 gm...0R small half banana. some soaked almonds. Or cheese.

(d) Lunch-1.30 pm-one small Chapati OR little rice , veg/non veggie ,Curd/butter milk.

(e) 5 pm--sugar less Tea with 2 Marie biscuits.

(f) 6 pm- @50 gm,mix of soaked almonds, peanuts, walnuts, or 2 boiled eggs. slice of cheese or Amul butter.

(f) 9 Pm-dinner-same as lunch.

Total carbs about 100gm, proteins 60gm, Fats-100gm.

(About-1500 cal)..

Habits-No major work ( as retired),bit of online share trading etc, reading books etc, walking etc...

-REST,I AM HEALTHY AND ENERGETIC, walks about 30 minutes daily.

Any guidance, please?

(a)HbA1c-5.7 (b)BS-71/106.

Hba1c 5.7 means e AG about 117..... so you must be spiking some time during the day.... mostly it happens after Dinner...

If that spike is going above 180 then it is harmful for kidney.... be careful...

Do you really need any guidance?

You need to look after your creatine levels. In my opinion, you should reduce protein intake by 15 or 20% and increase carbohydrate by same amount. May not take Tayo everyday( potenty is not indicated, is it 1000IU), increase calcium intake and a little physiotherapy for your shoulder. May also check for Vit B12 level and take a dose to improve neurology.

Hi! I suppose u r taking lot of carbs and lot of medicines. U haven't mentioned how u burn your calories. 2eggs is 2much. Taking chees, butter, Marie biscuits, poha. OMG. Eating sweet fruits. Ur medicines suggest u r frequently visiting doctor. U better consult a Dietitian. In my view, avoid carbs to the max. Eat lots of vegetables raw or cooked. Raw onion 1, garlic 1bud. No rice, no sugar. Eat like a begger and live like a king. Total 90 minutes, or 10000 steps walking every day splitting 2 to 4 segments. But walk alone briskly. Not chitchat.

Anyone offering unhealthy food is not your well-wishers.

@ Vibhakar...My BS shows what I am eating.For years my A1c is less than 6.0....it's low carbs and LCHF,although I eat most of the things but very low quantity.. my diabetic medicines are very few... daily total Reclimate 1500 Mg and a galvus50, ( although I want to reduce further),rest are supplements except olmezest for BP....A famous dietitian in Mumbai has upheld by diet..

Thank you for discussing with the forum your current health conditions. I am pleased to hear that you are well and maintain good control of your BSL. Each diabetics have their own ways to normalize their blood sugar. You have done this for many years with good outcomes, well done.

Diabetes and high blood pressure can affect your creatinine level; therefore a well control is crucial. I have read from somewhere that strenuous exercise also can increase the creatinine level. Do it in moderation would be better. All the best.

Great example as far as HbA1c is concerned.

Pls keep it up.

Other items, as mentioned by other advisers, please follow to ensure fluctuations are under check.

On the top of all these things, DO NOT keep thinking about diabetics for more than 15 to 30 minutes a day.

When I started following this, my A1c got better, though NOT less than 6.

More we keep thinking about sugar, we add more to worries.

Dear Mr sangli.All the suggestions by the experienced people are good.Follow them at least take some bit D3 tab once a week.some calcium tab can be taken once a day.Rest is o.k.Do not think much.Try to be relaxed.If reduce to one egg per day is o.k.Increase veggies more.All the best and be happy.Thanks.
