Those who wish to discuss their diabetes may please react here. I shall collate each person's details in separate sections for everybody's convenience.

No specific format is worked out.

Please give your latest FBS, 2-Hr-PPBS & HbA1c results. Tell when was your diabetes noticed. Also tell age, height, weight, medicines & dosages, details of food/drink intake like what, when & how much from one morning to next morning; that only will give a clear picture of your state.

=== healthunlocked.com/user/prksh prksh=================

I will paste your responses here.

Hello sir,

Please guide me about how to start the procedure towards cure?

-------------------------------------------

prksh

My latest FBS 80, PPBS 91 & HBa1c 6.5 a month back. My diabetes was noticed on Feb 2014. Age 31, Height 5.10, weight:- 80, Glimisave 1 mg before brkfast, morning brkfast 2Idli n sprouts, Lunch Raw or half boiled vegetable and 2 wheat chapati, Dinner 6 pm 2 chapati with vegetable, 8 pm some peanuts and alomonds.

---------------------------------------

You have just reached overweight region as per BMI specification. HbA1c 6.5 indicates that you are reasonably diabetic. In spite of the medication & stringent diet your average blood sugar estimation is either 130.45 (Nathan) or 139.85 (ADAG) or 154.1 (DCCT) as per these different formulae. This meansthat throughout the day except morning your blood sugar remains high. This is not good for health.

If you are not taking fruits, sweets or liquor the diet seems good & bare minimum for the size. But if the diabetic level is to be reduced, something more is to be done.

There are several suggestions here (HealthUnlocked). If you decide to follow Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen (LWMDR) & have read my posts here ( diabetesindia.healthunlocke... ) & article at appropedia ( appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... ) we will move further. With your age & diet it is felt that cure will not be much far away if you adhere to & follow the guidelines.

George sir, my fbs now fluctuates between 160 -180, pbs is mostly hypo (90-56) now, after taking Glynase 500 mg morning one and evening one ....and my Hb1ac was 8.2 (one month back while I was on glycomet sr 500 when my pp used to be around 200-130). Diabetes was confirmed 2 yrs back at 241 fbs. My age is 53, height 5.4 and my weight is 65. My diet is : 7 a.m coffee ( with dezire sugar OR one cookie), 9 a,m 2 chapathi (long wheat), veg, curd, salad, fruit or juice half cup (my weakness - fruits). 10.30 butter milk or lemon juice; 1.30 one chapathi and 2 tbsp rice with curry, ( veg or non veg ) 4.00 p.m tea with a cookie or dezire sugar, night 8.00 p.m. 1 chapathi or dosa with curry, next day morning coffee and breakfast of dosa or chapathi. I hav hypothyroid and am taking thyroxine 100 . At nights before going to bed (around 10, my ppbs is mostly 125 - 100, but morning it's 170 !) pl advise .

-----------------------------------------

FBS 160-180 is quite high. PPBS 90-56 & hypo indicate that medicine is over dose. HbA1c 8.2 shows that you have high diabetes & average blood sugar estimation is either 187.06 (Nathan) or 188.64 (ADAG) 214.62 (DCCT) as per those different formulae. No surprise that FBS fluctuates between 160 - 180 & had PPBS 200 -130 a month back. You are touching the upper limit of normal weight as per BMI.

Present diet is not proper for a diabetic person. That is the main problem. Sweets & fruits are to be avoided completely if you wish to control & later on cure diabetes & save the life-sustaining vital organs. No dezire or any other sugars/sweeteners. No cookies. No fruit. No juice - not even a spoon.

Your weakness weakens you.

Your average blood sugar is between 187 & 214; that is why from 125-100 night PPBS (10 PM) blood sugar goes to 170 in the morning. The evening tablet pulls down the blood sugar to 125 - 100; but once its action expires BS start rising & reach 160 - 180 by morning. No surprises.

There are many routes suggested in HealthUnlocked & elsewhere. Decision is yours. If you decide to follow Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen (LWMDR) & have read my posts here ( diabetesindia.healthunlocke... ) & article at appropedia ( appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... ) we will move further. You are only 53 & it is felt that cure will not be much far away if you adhere to & follow the guidelines.

I am Type II Diabetic patient. My sugar is controlled Fasting 104, PP 146 with medicines. My cretinine is 1.9, BUN 36.1, serum urea 77.

HbA1c 5.6 %, HB66 12.5, Potassium 6.5.BP 136/84 I am taking Januvia 50 mg, Amaryl 2 mg, Telma 80, Amlong 5 mg, Aten 50 mg Fefol Z, Diavit, Shelcal CT-NA. What diet I need to take and how can I control my kidney functions

------

I am NOT a medical person. I studied mathematics in the colleges & was developing & using software packages for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) during 1972 - 99 & took voluntary retirement at the age of 50 (superannuation age was & is 60).

I studied Diabetes when it caught hold of me in 2006, because NO MEDICAL DISCIPLINE/SYSTEM WAS (& IS) OFFERING CURE.

From the list of blood results & medicines it is gussed that you have high blood pressure & Calcium deficiency in addition to Diabetes.

My discussion will be limited to DIABETES. You have not disclosed your diet; based on that only I will suggest something.

The diabetic parameters do NOT suggest that the kidney function deviation is due to that; creatinine 1.9 could be due to the side/after effect of other medicines you administer.

Bye the way how-much water do you drink in a day & what is your height & weight?

Looking at your previous post, your BS levels are normal but with sulfonyluria drug. If you follow proper diet by reducing carbs and reduce your weight then you will have good control over diabetes and won't need any drugs.

I am sorry that I was away from internet due to personal problems. Now I am back. Hope you have used the two links given in my previous response & read the articles carefully. Now you may be in a position to start or might have already started LWMDR.

If you have more doubts on the subject, please ask. I shall try to explain/clarify.

Hello dear George, from past 3 weeks I'm still eating the wheat but did not follow the diet religiously like I did from jan 19th to May 19th or so. The reason for that is I stepped on the scale and have lost weight. I'm 5'6 and was already under weight 118 lb and now I'm only 110 lb. My 3 mths being on diet results were great, HbA1c came down from 7.5 to 6.6 but despite 2/2 metphormin my two hr after meal results were sometimes even 250. I even shaved of the amount of wheat intake. My weight loss concerns me more than anything. It's perfect for over weight people. I have 20 kg wheat and even milled wheat as well which I use for one chapatti for lunch but I messed up the diet with eating some fruits. It only took a little messing up to raise my morning sugar to 120 in these days. I just bought protein shake today which contain zero sugar but still sweetened with stevia. I want to do this diet and I know it's helping but if it will take 3 years or longer to recover I might disappear.

ShooterGeorge profile image
ShooterGeorge in reply to 634shy

Hello 634shy,

I feel you have to find out food items that will help maintain or normalise blood sugar but will maintain weight. Egg, meat, fish, nonstarchy vegetables etc may fall in this category. Another alternative is to take up some indoor exercises that will improve/build muscles; this will burn the extra glucose of the blood & strengethen the body. If you can not burn the extra glucose/starch from food by exercise, DO NOT INCREASE STARCH/FRUIT/SWEET INTAKE; Longwheat is an exception, I feel. Shaving LW quantity is not a solution. If you leave LWMDR you may be able to find one or more control/maintainance methods but may not approach CURE.

Please understand that following the LWMDR is for YOU & NOT FOR ME :-) I am cured of Diabetes in the year 2009. It appears to me that you are on a Snake & Ladder game. Every time you violate the routine (on account of ANYTHING) you are resetting the counter to zero and next day is day one :-) .

Hi George,

In 25 Oct 2014, blood test (get blood sample by syringe) in hospital, FBS is 91.8 and d OGTT 2hr 192 and Hba1c 4.87

About 170cm, and after more than a month eat less and exercise (weight reduced from 71.8kgs to 60.3kgs) , now FBS is always keep in 73.8 and PPBS 2hrs is from 91.8 and 135 (by home use meter) under not eating too much for this period of time.

pls advise, how long i have to use long wheat in order to recover

Many Thanks

drinking/sipping one cup of long wheat warm water after every meal (b/f, lunch) has helped reduce fasting sugar to 106 and PP to 118, along with skipping dinner meal and taking only fruits for dinner by 7pm.

Dear George,

Thanks for your reply, in my home place, the Blood Sugar reading is use " mmol/L", so I have to converted to "mg/dL", in order to comply with the reading in the forum. Formula is " mmol/L" x 18 = "mg/dL". So I get decimal place

THis is my summary of my reading

FBS (25 Oct 2014) (Hospital) 5.1 mmol/L ( 91.8 mg/dL)

OGTT 75g (25 Oct 2014) (Hospital) 1 hr 12.5 mmol/L( 225 mg/dL) and then 2 hrs 10.7 mmol/L ( 192.6 mg/dL)

Hba1c (21 Oct 2014) (Lab) 4.87% , we may say 4.9%

After this , I did exercise and eat less, the following reading is by home meter for this period of time

FBS (in the morning) - 4.1mmol/L to 4.4 mmol/L ( 73.8 mg/dL to 79.2 mg/dL)

PPBS 1hr - 5.9 mmol/L to 7.7 mmol/L (106.2 mg/dL to 138.6 mg/dL), the 138.6 mg/dL only once in this period of time when I having Upper Respiratory infection, most of the times are 5.9 mmol/L (106.2 mg/dL) to 6.3 mmol/L (113.4 mg/dL)

PPBS 2 hrs - 5.1 mmol/L (91.8 mg/dL) to 7.5 mmol/L (135 mg/dL)

Thanks

Hi Eddy201420142014, FBS, PPBS & OGTT values will most probably be affected by the type of change in diet you reported. With the very limited knowledge I have, it is felt that the same is the underlying principle of the acclaimed Low Carbohydrate High Fat (LCHF) diet.

I have not used roti/chapati, hence unable to answer that.

Since you say that "Yes it is controlling my sugar levels perfectly" one has to believe that roti/chapati also is doing the job.

Hi Sir,

My diabetes was detected in Dec2014. My initial tests were 127-Fasting, 259-PP, A1C-10. Since then I have been searching for answers on diabetes. From 20-Dec 2014, I have stopped eating sugar, rice, starchy vegetables etc. My father is also diabetic, and he was eating a special flour, a mix of multiple grains including some amount of wheat. I started eating that(I add 2 tpbs of flax seed powder to this flour). I eat 30gms of oats in toned milk with stevia in breakfast. 2 rotis(mix flour), 1 katori sabzi and butter milk with cucumber etc. In evening I eat either chana/sprouts etc. and in night same as lunch. I was taking Janumet 1000mg once in night only. My fasting results were 102, and PP were 130. Then after one month on same diet, I stopped taking medicine. Now my fasting is below 110 (108 even after eating sweet halwa, just for testing my BS response), and PP is 114. Fasting insulin was 11(Got it done at Lal Pathlab). I've now lost 5 kgs till now. Do you think I might be on correct track. Should I continue same diet. I exercise daily. I can't find Long wheat here in local shops. they only have normal wheat available.

Hi Mr.George,

I am new to this site.

I am 43 y, male, Height 175 cm, current weight 84 kg.

In end of May 2014 I was diagnosed with T2 DM (fasting 139, PP 207, HBA1c - 6). At that time I was weighing 100 kgs. One doctor advised to take 1 metformin tab & I other told it can be controlled by diet as HBA1C is 6. I browsed through internet I found info about the New Castle study (reduce 10 to 15% of body weight by taking only 600 calories a day for 8 weeks). I did it successfully & reduced my weight to 80 kgs in 2 months (end of July 2014). During my weight reduction I measured BS several times (using BS checking instrument) & within a few days from starting my BS came to normal range.

On 1- Aug 2014 when I checked in lab my HbA1C was 5.3, PP 125. After coming out of the 600 cal diet I started eating normal food & slowly my BS started increasing back to previous level (PP 190 - 210).

(I had read your article before but wanted to reduce my weight first) Then I started LWMD from Oct 2014 & I saw good results (LWMD is helping me now in maintaining my weight also). My fasting was around 100 & PP around 140. In Dec 2014 end my HBA1C was 5, fasting 104.

I am continuing the LWMD, but recently in Feb 2015 I see that PP has gone up around 160 - 180. Even one day PP was 220 (I slept immediately after lunch on that day & after 2 hrs I woke up & checked). I did not change anything drastically in my diet so I don't why it is going up. Is DM progressing?

In Jan 2015 I took a hand full (may be more) of raw, unsalted peanuts after dinner every day & I stopped it from Feb 2015. I check PP twice a week, on off days (during working days I take little rice for lunch along with salad & chicken but on off days I take normal quantity of rice along with veg curries & chicken).

ShooterGeorge profile image
ShooterGeorge in reply to AR100

Hi AR100,

Welcome. I am composing this reply as I read on your response. Please do not misunderstand.

As per the BMI you fall in the over-weight category with 84 kg; around 8 kilos above the upper limit for your height. To maintain this bulk, your body will demand lots of starchy food. It will in turn overload your pancreas. That will worsen Diabetes.

With the Newcastle diet ( appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... ) of 600 kcal/day one is supposed to be under medical surveilance & on nutrient supplements. Hope it was so.

After Dec 2014, seeing HbA1c at 5 & FBS 104, you would have relaxed LWMDR guidelines. Your words "I did not change anything drastically in my diet" ratifies my line of thinking. You had not hit cure, so changes to LWMDR will make DM to progress.

If you take LWM twice daily, lunch with rice is not likely to give any adverse effect; but the case will be different if you take root vegetables, fruits, sweets or liquor.

With such low HbA1c, hitting cure is very close by. Just have some patience.

I guess you are a medical or highly research oriented person. Congratulations.

Lunch content: 1 slice of salmon 3inch long and half inch thick

2 pork chops

1 bowl of vegetable

1 slice of wholemeal bread (4 inch long and 1 inch thick with a slice of cheese)

After 1 hr 40 mins from first bite of such food (bread is ate at last dish of the lunch )

Home meter reading is 97

Thanks God

Thanks George

Thanks guys who gave me comment and advise

Hi Eddy,

Your reported lunch contains very little starch. Hence the BS reading of 97 is no great thing and gives no indications; only thing to be noted is that such diet will maintain low/normal BS level and will avoid loading of the Pancreas.

Dear Mr.George,

Thank you for the reply.

You are right, I need to reduce my weight further.

After closely studying my routine I found that the main reason for PP increase is that I had increased my rice intake (before it was approx 2 hands full but now almost double). I have reduced rice intake now (just 2 days) & PP is 170. I hope it will reduce further.

Another issue is that I am not restricting my food intake to 3 times a day (sometimes it is 4 & rarely 5 - mostly during weekends). Have to be strict on this.

Also sometimes I take little rice along with LWM in dinner. Is this an issue.

I did not take root vegetables (was taking peanuts which I had stopped now) fruits, sweets. I do not drink or smoke.

My preparation ( my wife prepares it - I do not know anything about cooking) of LWM is as below.

Soak approx 85 g of LW in water for approx 5 hours. Fry (for few seconds) little cut small onion, little cumin seeds, little fenugreek seeds & 1 teaspoon ground flax seeds in 1 table spoon of olive oil. And add little coriander leaves & mint leaves. Add this to LW with approx 6 times water & cook in the pressure cooker (after 1 whistle in low flame for 30 min). Is this preparation ok.

Your experience gives hope to lot of diabetics like me. Thank you very much for helping people by sharing your experience & guiding them.

Hi AR100,

Very glad to know that you have detected the errors in diet & found out the required corrections yourself. Now things are very easy.

Even though I have not taken rice along with Long Wheat, small quantity may not be an issue, I feel.

I think peanut need not be considered as a vegetable.

My wife used to add only salt & that too after cooking. To make the food tasty, I depend on side dishes - vegetables, fish, meat, egg, curd etc.

Please continue observing the restrictions & keep reporting the results so that your experience also will give hope to lot of diabetics in future. :-)

Since I started LWMDR (not sure may before that also) everyday in the night I wake up at least once with my bladder full & with the urgency to urinate. Again in the morning when I wake up the bladder would be full. I tried not drinking water after 8 pm but I had to get up at least once in the night. Can LWM be the reason for this?

I take dinner(LWM, cup of spinach, sometimes cup of vegetable-green beans or cabbage) usually between 6 & 7 pm. I had a doubt that BS may be increasing in the night

So I checked BS (also checked it 4 months before when I woke up in the night & was around 105) yesterday,

10-Mar-15 >> Dinner at 6:30 pm (LWM, cup of spinach, 3 small pcs of chicken)

10-Mar-15 >> PP at 8:30 pm - 115

10-Mar-15 >> BS before going to bed at 10 pm - 93

11-Mar-15 >> BS at 3:20 am when I woke up for urinating - 108

11-Mar-15 >> FBS at 6:10 am - 111

ShooterGeorge profile image
ShooterGeorge in reply to AR100

Hi AR100,

LW may not be the reason for the extra-urination at night, but the water used for soaking & cooking it. Vegetables also contain lot of water. All this water has to be expelled as urine, if you are not sweating excessively.

LW is one of the earliest food grains; don't be scared of it :-)

Hi shadan,

You are not giving required details for me to understand the state of your diabetes.

FBS 87 103 89 and you say it is very normal. I do not see it as normal.

At what time did you get BS 63?

There can be two reasons for FBS to go low. (1) Night medicine is more. (2) Night food is less.

Why you have to wait desperately? I am asking people to report test results regularly so that I can corrective suggestions in time. NOBODY follows that & trying to blame me as if I have made some mistake, when they get unexpected results.

Hi arunaravi,

Diabetes gets triggered by different reasons. For getting it cured the routines that you follow are very good. If you can get your Serum Insulin also tested now, at a later date it will be easier to confirm cure.

You have to continue the medicines till an appropriate time to reduce those; your doctor itself will reduce those when the test results come down to normal values.

You are underweight by 1.5 - 2. kg, but nothing to worry.

Mr. George Sir

First of all, I and on behalf of our forum I wanted to thank you Sir for the able guidance about your Long Wheat Kanji.

I am also your follower for the past 6 months. I am a Vegetarian. As advised by you in your appropedia web page I am strictly following and taking LW and accordingly reduced my FBS from 212 to 90. I was taking Volix 0.3 in the night and Reclimet in Morning and Evening. I avoided taking Volix for the past 3 months. Then also my FBS was around 100. Now I am taking only Reclimet one in the night only for the past one month. Now(yesterday) my FBS is 142. (May be due to some sweets in Deepavali and due to rain could not go for walking).

I have reduced nearly 8 kgs in the last 6 months while taking our great Long Wheat Sir. Is this because of this LW only. Anyother problem associated? Kindly, I request you to clarify my doubts, pl.

Respected Mr.George sir,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. My height is 167 cm and weight is 70.3. from 78 since April 2015 In my residence I am having weighing machine. Over and above I used to check in apollo hospital (which is near to my home) machine also regularly. The difference will be +/- one kg. From 3rd day onwards after taking LW Kanchi my evening tiredness has gone. In fact I feel so energetic and no hungry. For this please accept my sincere thanks to you Sir. Even I follow your guidance like recording various dates sugar levels and in a graph. I go only to lab to test. After my experience I suggested your website to few of my colleagues to get the benefit. One of them is so strictly following and his sugarlevel is now 91 and 128 from 258. Eagerly awaiting for your guidance Sir.

Hi,

With the Wt & Ht you gave BMI is 25.+ which is the upper limit of normal range. With earlier weight your BMI was 27.96 which was overweight according to the guidelines medical people follow.

As you feel energetic now, the reduction in weight may be due to some internal cleaning & flushing-out of some unwanted things that was getting accumulated inside.

You just do one more thing with your weighing machine & report the result. Sit on a chair or cot; hold the weighing machine by both the hands such that thumbs are on top & rest of the fingers are on the bottom surfaces; squeeze the hands & note the reading.

I have developed a scale named BMPI. With the new information you give I can calculate BMPI for you & see how is your health.

SS_BALA profile image
SS_BALA in reply to ShooterGeorge

Respected sir

As instructed by you I sat on the cot and hold the weighing machine by both the hands in the bottom left and right corners as these portions are having sensor to start function the machine. Then squeeze/firmly holding the machine by giving the pressure. Then the scale was showing 3.8 kgs. I have done 2/3 times. Same result.

I hope I understood your instructions correctly. If it is not, please advice me accordingly.

Thank you Sir for your able guidance

Pl clarify when to take?I thought we can take the test as Hba1c.(that is at any time). I don't know why this variation that is in the higher side.

shilpabhadoria profile image
shilpabhadoria

Dear George sir,

As I understand from your blog a person is supposed to take long wheat in grams equal to per kg weight. Since his weight is 60 kg I understand he has to take 60 grams of long wheat divided into 2 I.e 30 grams in morning and 30 grams in nights..with whatever he likes ... So he takes 3-4 egg whites in morning with long wheat. If we r making a mistake feel free to correct us. Your guidance is highly appreciated. Regards shilpa

ShooterGeorge profile image
ShooterGeorge in reply to shilpabhadoria

HI @shilpabhadoria,

Thank you for the reply. "a person is supposed to take long wheat in grams equal to per kg weight" is right but that is for one meal; that is what I did. I will see whether any correction is needed in what I have written.

He has to use minimum 60 gm LW per meal; that means 120 gm per day. For cooking 60 gm LW, it will need nearly 300 ml water. Hence the total weight of the LWM for one meal will be at-least more than 300 gms. This plus side dishes as taste makers will be sufficient to fill any ordinary belly, I suppose. My concern is on reducing the quantity of LWM & not on taking 3-4 eggs. If he needs that, let him take it in addition to the above mentioned quantity of LWM.

I have also written that taking more LWM, if required, is of no harm.

More over a scientific study carried out in 2001 has used 200-300 LW flour daily & obtained wonderful results.

shilpabhadoria profile image
shilpabhadoria

Also would like to know from you can I get the wheat grinded for chapati or paratha in regular Atta Chakki or do I have to do it at home in a mixie for the grain is hard and may not be able to grind it. Also is it ok to dry grind the wheat.

ShooterGeorge profile image
ShooterGeorge

Since LW is much costlier than ordinary wheat, you must be careful if you are getting it ground at a regular Atta Chakki. I was asking to avoid dry grinding for fear of static charge accumulation & resultant damage. But the Dharwar Agri Uty study of 2001 has shown that my concern may be ignored and up to 300 gm LW flour may be used daily.

Hi George Sir ,

I am Royston 32 yrs, blore . Currently weighing 68 kgs . 5"5 ft tall

Looks like i am prediabetic /diabetic .

4 months ago i was diagnosed with dengue and at the end of my admission for dengue in hospital where i was given lot of antibiotics and drips,

the doc declared that im diabetic due to high hba1c like 8 and prescribed glycomet which i did not consume.

3 days after my discharge i again checked @ near anand lab my fbs was 115 and ppbs 146 . Post this i visited a good ayurvedic doc CM ramesh in indiranagar blore who told me to do a glucose tolerance test after 15 days of my discharge from hospital and gave me ashwagandha tabs to remove negative energy from my body .

The Glucose tolerance results for 75 gms glucose were normal like fbs - 100 , 30 mins - 195 , 60 mins - 170, 1.30 hr - 144 ,2 hr- 110

and 'nill' content in urine samples .

Doc told that i am normal and i dont need any treatment and advised me to feed more on millets and greens than chapathis/white rice .

I regularly(once in a week since 4 months) keep checking @ nearby hospital through glucometer prick my fbs and ppbs where i find that my fbs is

pre diabetic which ranges from 104 - 118 and ppbs in <= 145 . Post my discharge from hospital i kind of regularly go for morning walks on weekdays except on monday and weekend 20 kms in total cycling .

i really dont know whether i am diabetic or not , i am not on any medications .

i came across this Long wheat mash diet advised by you and totally want to follow it due to good results found by many .

So i have figured out that it is Jave Godhi in Kannanda and i will figure out the stores who supply them in blore.

I will start having dinner of Jave godhi from now on. Lunch will be regluar intake without white rice , it could be millets or brown rice .

I have question on Intake of Fruits in the day time probably at like dusk time/late mornings.

Question :: Which are the fruits and vegetables that needs to be avoided .

i am currently on millets intake whose kannada names being Navne , saame , arka , korle . my bfast is regular oustide idli, vada, dosa .

dinner and lunch are millets/rotis/chapathis . My dinners are usually late as i get late from office at like 9:30 PM .

Question : Can i continue my regular bfast outside ? Also Meat and fish intake would not be a problem right ?

Will be switching to Jave godhi as dinner .

Hi Sakshi2012

FSI is Fasting Serum Insulin

TG is TriGlycerides

HDL is HighDensity Lipoprotein comes in lipid profile

For Gestational Diabetes Insulin Injection is said to be better than tabs because Insulin molecules are larger than what can pass through the umbilical chord to the foetus.

You or anyone shouldn't have dropped the pregnancy. Right the first cell formed by the union of egg from mother and sperm from father has a DNA. DNA has the blueprint of an individual till it breathes the last, pprobably after100 or more years!!!!!

If the reason you discontinued the second pregnancy was Diabetes, better ensure that you are CURED of it before conceiving. Else the BS will shoot up the moment it happens. That is the inherent feature of Diabetes - any unusual condition in the body or mind will cause it. Even a fever or wound would do that!

Do you know why or how Gestational Diabetes occur?
