Pain after sigmoidoscopy

Hi just wondering if anyone has experience sever abdominal pain that comes and goes after having sigmoidoscopy?

I experience abdomen pain anyways, but I feel like after the sigmoidoscopy i am in a lot more pain, it’s almost like it’s triggered a IBS flare up (well I don’t really have a diagnosis, but it’s feels like a flare up), or triggered something.

Is this normal? I’ve not been able to go back to work yet so I’m a bit worried, what to tell my boss..! Don’t what to appear like I’m over-reacting. Am I over-reacting.

Thanks everyone, any response is much appreciated.

Sending everyone lots of good vibes!

I would never regard an increase in pain, or change of place of pain, as something that is "over reactable to". I would always tell.

, either my doctor or my consultant, as pain is the way that the body tells us something is not quite right.

Thanks for replying. The doc said it’s just just it’s irritated my bowel, that’s probs why I’m feel lots of pain and to take painkillers.
