UC or Infectious Colitis??

Hello everyone

I need an opinion. 1 year ago my 6 year old was diagnosed with UC by colonoscopy with biopsies. I refused all meds and insisted on antibiotics for parasites. 5 or 6 Ova parasites test could not find anything but we took 3 rounds of Flagyl anyway because it helped with bloody diarrhea and urgency.

Then I ordered PCR Parasites Test and it found a lot of Blastocystis and Bactrim killed all of them. At that point her colonoscopy still showed chronic active colitis and calprotectin was 1000.

2 weeks after Bactrim her calprotectin dropped from 1000 to 129 without any treatment or diets. Then I placed her on SCD Diet to fix her tummy for antibiotics and her calprotectin dropped to 16 in 35 days and stays this way until now ( 5 months). We are still on a strict SCD diet because it takes 6 months to 1 year to restore her gut flora from antibiotics damages. But what my LO had UC or Infectious Colitis. Our GI agreed that she is completely fine and does not need any meds now.
