IBD UC with latent TB

last option now on biologics for UC treatments after salofak & Azathioprine failed. Amjevita also failed. Now doc recommends Entyvio infusion without treating my latent TB a risk which both myself n doc discussed b4. Their findings said less than 1% active TB tru infusion method.. did anyone had Entyvio and latent TB in remission for more than 5 years or receive good results from Entyvio infusion.. had liver toxicity skin rashes and fast heart beat side effects from Isoniazid, had to stop treating latent TB halfway..very toxic bad side effects w Isoniazid

I am a 60years w stool calprotectin at 300. Visit toilet at least 6-7times with blood. However still can daily walk and sports games... worry such biologics will deter and stop me from doing wat I luv. Appreciate all advice need to make decision soon

I started vedolizumab a year ago and had been fine on it but it doesn't help with my fatigue so I feel a lot more tired. (I have uc).

I have started to get problems with my upper back an aching bruised type of feeling on both sides, and blocked ears and am currently having this investigated as to whether the drug is causing it.

Not very helpful I know.

Yes that's it's brand name. I gave been told its a biological and goes straight to the gut to stop inflammation to the bowel so better than some which go through the whole body. It's has been very effective for my UC I was having a flare up from last year and it has sorted me out. It took about 20 weeks is known to take at least 14 for full effect. Only problem is I am having some side effects as mentioned which I'm hoping will settle down will be gutted if I need to come off it.

If this doesn't work for you, have you tried influximab infusions? This drug kept me in remission for 7 years I had no side effects at all. I had this ever 8 weeks alongside Azathriprine tablets which apparently are needed to support it

Some boroughs don't offer it, but you can ask. My hospital is gastro specialists and teaching, they are tops in gastro and will prescribe regardless of cost

If the new drug doesn't work, ask about thst.

Good lucky
