colonoscopy biopsy results

does anyone know how long it takes to get biopsy results back i had a colonoscopy on July the 11th and still have not heard anything.

I am unsure, think it was quicker than that, but I got them when I had my next apt. with the Gastro Consultant, so could be talked through. Never had them given to me by my GP.

I was told it would take 4-5 weeks and the results go to the consultant. Unless there is anything urgent to act on, I have found you don't hear anything until your next clinic appointment. Let's hope you have nothing to worry about!
