My old sports bra has just about surrendered and I need a really re-inforced underwired maximum support...at my age and size I need something that reduces bounce etc. I feel that the temperature is going to warrant my little running jacket coming off and I do get very self conscious.Do any of you have any recommendations please
Thanks

The one i have used very successfully is the shock absorber - but it is not underwired. But it has double layers of fabric and cross over wide support straps and definitely keeps everything in place. Some sort of science behind it that it controls the particular way ladies bounce.
thanks for posting this! I have the same bra but I've not liked running in it because the straps kept slipping down but on the website I see I could wear it racerback style. I never thought of that!
Thanks both...Delia, I've tried this one and sent it back ..so you can imagine the problem I have!! Nightmare...I think I actually scare the birds and squirrels with my bouncing..lol
Shock Absorber - not from a shop but on t'internet because you can get last year's colours at great discounts. For example, I bought a red, white and blue one two months ago for £13.95 rather than £30 or whatever they are in the shops at the moment. I'm 40E and there is absolutely no bounce whatsoever.
I've never fancied an underwired sports bra - the thought of running in a wired bra is wrong, somehow. I hope you find something that works, though.
Thanks Annie..I'm used to the underwired thing, but one of the wires has escaped with all the work and cut my underarm...I've sadly paid over £30 with postage for a shock absorber running bra and am awaiting delivery. I will keep an eye on the net for cheaper ones..thanks for help
Sainsburys do a £10 sports bra that works great for me, keeps everything still and has a racing back with wide straps so very comfortable on the shoulders and non slip
I have had a lot of difficulties finding good sports bras since moving to the UK (I'm from Australia) and the best I have found are Berlei sports bras. I know they are not the cheapest you can get but after rubbing and cutting in caused by other bras you stick with what you know works!
oh i probably should have mentioned the Berlei bras have a different cup measuring than UK bras as they are made in the US - incase looking turned to buying. as an example I'm an E cup in their sizes but FF here in the UK. Good luck with the shock absorber, i'm interested to see how it goes for you!
I have the panache sports bra, and it's brilliant for me. It has option of doing a racer back and comes in nice range of colours. Industrial strength keeps my ample chest from shifting which is always a plus. got mine from bravissimo, but they also do them at figleaves
