Ladies - sports bra advice!

Hello fellow female runners! I really need to invest in a good sports bra, any recommendations? I don’t want a ‘crop top’ type bra as I don’t think that will give me enough support! I’d like one that would go with racer back tops. Thanks in advance! 🏃🏼‍♀️

Hey, I like the classic Nike ones and Under Armour also do a similar style.

I buy a size smaller to the point everything is squished and I have mono-boob but it keeps everything stuck in place.

Only issue is getting them off and on while sweaty 🙈

Hee hee, thanks!

If you’re on the medium to larger size make sure it’s ‘high impact’. If you’re losing weight (like me) you might consider a crop style rather than cup size (I went for a zip front one), and I’m glad I did - I’ve lost a couple of inches from my bust so a more general size (but high impact) means it still fits!

I use M&S zip front extra high impact as I’m a D cup. Super comfortable but very squished! 😉

I have a couple of those bras too KR. I’m a C cup and I find them comfortable. Everything stays nicely in place and they’re so much easier to get off with the zip fastening. 😀👍

I’m sure my husband will be thrilled to hear that! 😂

I use an M&S zip front one too, it’s brilliant. I can wear a 38 or a 40 depending on style so went with 38. It was quite tight at first but is getting more comfortable as the weeks go by n the support is excellent

I found one on Jd williams website it has a zip up front and I've been using it for 18 weeks now it's really good no bouncing around 😂😂

Zip up fronts seem to be the popular choice.

I'm not keen. The extra material behind the zip makes me sweat even more. My fav is shock absorber ultimate. 2 fasteners at the back and you need to be flexible to reach both but super secure, comfy and look good with racer tops I think.

Where did you get yours from?

I actually bought mine on eBay from a shop at a massive discount. They normally go for around £30 but I've bought 3, all under £20. I keep losing weight so keep needing smaller ones!

The panache sport is very good - also converts to a race back. Very supportive but a bit expensive

My favourite one is just from Tesco. Cheap and cheerful but does a great job.

I actually got zip one from Sainsbury’s, really comfortable (I’m a 40DD) really struggled to find one that fits.

Not a racer back but I have Freya Active sports bras. At a 34F they get some punishment but in all the years of exercise they've never let me down. Shoulder straps are broad & comfy and back strap is deep ( has 4 hooks). Does make your bust look a bit pointy (think 90's Madonna), but at least it doesn't shove your boobs into your armpits 😂. I had M& S underwired crop top style before these which were also fab, but getting out of them could be a struggle.

Shock absorber nothing moves 😂

I have 32GGs and I wear either a shock absorber (size up and try on as their bands are SUPER tight) or Victoria secret front fastening (get them in the sale though as they’re mega expensive £45, as opposed to £15 in the sale)

Another vote for shock absorber- expensive but worth it in my opinion (look out for sales and try on)

I use Tikiboo sports bras and leggings for running. They are so pretty, comfortable and nothing moves that shouldn’t!

Another vote for Victoria Secrets front fastening. Keep an eye on website for sales!

Shock absorber, one size up, sportsshoes.com. Everything stays where it should and very comfy too!

Def Shock Absorber for High Impact sports. There are quite a few different styles depending on your chosen sport and some also come up in large sizes G and H cups too.
