Perhaps a tiny bit easier than run one??? The front of my thighs started to ache/hurt soon after I started; it had just gone away after Friday's run yesterday. I guess I need to do some stretching exercises straight after the run but don't know what to do. I notice that I can walk much faster than I can run at the moment...will that improve?
Week 1 run 2 just completed.: Perhaps a tiny bit... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 run 2 just completed.
Well done! Run 1 was a toughy, starting from scratch and all that. Your muscles are bound to feel the exertion. The rest days between runs are so important, allowing the muscles to rebuild...
Have a look at these exercises:

How's the husband, btw? Is he still accompanying you?
He's fine thanks. Going slowly to keep beside me.
Thanks for the exercises...great. I'll have to get 'not pheidippides' to pass me my foot...can't get it on my own yet!
I had the same problem with the grabbing my feet. I've been doing the Strength&Flex routine at the same time as C25K for the past 3 weeks and am proud to say that I can now just about do this exercise properly (orI tend to grab a shin and then slowly work my hand down to the foot). I found placing my foot on a chair or something of similar height and then grabbing it worked wonders to start with.
Glad to hear NP's out there supporting you. It'll do him some good too. Don't worry about your speed... it's building up the stamina that's important throughout this programme.
Very well done! I had aches and pains through the entire program (still do) which at the beginning can be contributed to strengthening the muscle. Ice works wonders! Don't worry about speed, it will eventually increase as you build stamina. Very few Grads are at the magical 5K distance in 30 minutes when they finish the program. Great hubby is doing this with you! My husband joined me through C25K, a 10K program and now we're doing the 5x 50 challenge. Good luck! Gayle
