Week 2 Run 1 Completed

Very happy to report that W2 R1 was completed this morning.

I mis-counted how many runs I'd done and was sure I still had one left when the cool down started. I'd thought that I was going to struggle with a final run so that was quite a pleasant surprise.

I definitely felt the step up from W1, but still felt do-able.

Brilliant! You may be surprised by how much less out of puff you are by the end of the week!

I hope so. Lol :-)

Well done. It's great sense of achievement. Best thing I've done. As many here say couldn't run for a bus. I was same now running 6K+ and 40 minutes plus. Will never beat Mo Farah but who cares ? (Apart from Mo Farah perhaps).

Feel great fitness , weight hovering about 2lbs over what is my normal BMI. Not just fitness but mentally sharper too. That's what I think anyway !

Keep on running but as others say take it steady just work to your own goals. Don't worry about the 'Mo Farah's'.

Thank you.

I zoned out on the treadmill this morning and ignored the guy next door. He was running as though he was going to have a good go at beating Mo Farah, and had barely broken a sweat!

Don't you just hate that !!

I know I am happy with where I am but there is still part of me that likes a challenge. I am bit by bit gradually increasing my time etc. Even running up hills !But it is happening without really trying. There are also constraints on time and life pressures. so won't be doing marathons !

I have said on this site that without any restrictions myself and a few others (I won't name names) could end up like Forrest Gump !

I'm even going to do a park run. look forward to the camaraderie and experience. Might be one off. work Saturdays so had to book holiday.

Anyway be careful you may become the man next door on the treadmill or get Forrest Gumpitus !

Well done Sarah1703 :) Yeah, you will almost certainly always feel that step up from week to week, but if you stick with it you will find that it is very achievable. Even when you get to W5R3 which seems a massive jump in time, you've already built up enough stamina to do it. We've all been there (and done it!) so you will be fine. Believe in the plan, it does work.

All the best for the rest of week 2. :)

Great work. Always a nice surprise when you're closer to the end than you think you are! You know you can do the next two now and that will get you all the way to Week 3. Well done.
