It may only be "walkies" at the moment but at least I'm doing it. Just missed 5k in 50 min by 1 measly second ... but that will spur me on tomorrow. My dog is loving it too

Walkies is just fine!! I have done two days of walks and one of running so far but the thing is we are out there getting off our butt which is all good!
I am off work today and was going to go for a run but it is sooooo windy that I just couldnt get my breath so gave in and walked 5k instead whereas if I wasnt doing the challenge I would have just gone indoors and not got out again so it is definitely changing my mentality and spurring me on!
Good luck for beating your record tomorrow; a challenge within a challenge!
Sue
Well done - it's all good - and anyway your walking is almost as fast as my running! I did exactly 5k this morning and it took me 47min 7seconds - I was trying to do a slow run though (well to start with I was, then I speeded up a bit, for me).
Wonder how fast we'll be by day 50?
Very well done!!! You're off that couch and moving, cheers to you!!! I bet your furry little sidekick will love doing 5x50 with you! Gayle
I remember last year being extra keen at the start and was struggling by the end.
There is nothing wrong with walking or being slow. I walked 5K today but split it up over the morning commute and lunchtime.
We have another 47 days to go, it's guaranteed some of us will have a variety of injuries by the end.
I still have a foot problem from the last 5x50 so I will be taking it easier this time round.
