I actually did it! Gentle warm up followed by little more then a jog, slowly increasing the pace till i felt comfortable, then slowing it near the end.
Got sidelined by dogs a couple of times, but only stopped for 5-10 seconds and was running on the spot while the owners put them on leads, so i hope this still counts?
Many congratulations .... I managed this only yesterday And am still amazingly gobsmacked by my own achievement! I really had thought that this first, single long run would be a 'beast' ... I'd read other comments and several spoke of doom and gloom. Well done - we've de-bunked the myth. Mind over matter and a good sense of well being rules the day ;). Good luck with your next few weeks.... You should now be assured that you can do this! Take care X
Good job well done. And to keep running on the spot while dealing with the dogs means you did the full 20 mins, no questions asked. It's endurance/stamina Laura wants from us, not distance or speed! (At least that's what she's saying in week 7...)
Well done! Did this run this morning, such a great feeling isn't it. I had to slow a couple of times to cross the road (I am always very good, remove one ear bud and look both ways even if I think there is no traffic, jogging on the spot). It all counts!!
Thank you so much, what an incredible, supportive community
