Actually easy.

You just don't think you can do it, but you do. Somehow without your knowledge your body adapts and before you know it, it is over and you get that high... It is hard to explain but you will understand.

Yes, I totally didn't believe I was going to be able to do it.

I had promised myself some nice running gear (had previously been running in old sweat pants and a t-Shirt, had only bought s good bra and shoes) so I had a real battle in my head; I really wanted to complete it but couldn't not imagine being able to.

My husband made a good point and said " the plan has been right so far, just listen to the woman, what's her name again?" 😂

Just slow down and keep going, don't worry about distance, focus instead on doing the time. You will feel fantastic after!

Good luck!

You will be ok Linkin, please give us a report after your run. That is once you have stopped smiling, whooping, and jumping up and down

Hi sarahvictoria, you can and will- and probably already have!- done W5R3- my experience was that I was filled with dread and self doubt. Lots of lovely people sent me supportive messages on this forum to counteract my doubt, and it was exhilarating to trust the programme and find that actually you can do this! So, I say, go for it, and go as slow as you can, and get that wonderful feeling of success and of your body (and mind) doing what you tell them and running for 20 minutes- there really can be the odd moment when you feel a particular YAY! From these achievements, and indeed from actually just running, which you don't get elsewhere 😀 Go for it! And let us know how you get on 😀👋🏃

You really will do it and then find it's almost a let down to go back to a walking break on the next run. But as everyone says, just do what the plan tells you. Good luck!

I was worried and didn't think I would do it at all but I just took my time and when I wanted to stop, I just remembered I would need to tell the Forum I had failed so kept going!! Also, if I stopped,mi would have to do it again so that wasn't a good thought - feels amazing to run for 20 minutes, just go for it

just done it this morning...(YESSS!)

never thought I could manage but I did!

and if I can, you most definitely can...

it was my secret, didn't want to tell anyone in case I'd failed but didn't!

hoping to finish the 9 weeks before my 67 birthday in exactly 4 weeks!

had never run before (not even for a bus) and apparently overweight (i'm convinced this BMI is wrong!.;-)

It's scary isn't it, but don't worry you will be able to do it... Just take it slowly to begin with and although it feels tough at the start- hey, suddenly your breathing settles and a rythmn sets in. It's such a great feeling to have done it too...

Good luck, and tell us all about it. ;)
