And what's more I've smashed it! My last outing (W9R2) earlier in the week was surprisingly comfortable and I still felt I had a little bit left in the tank at the end of it. Because of this, and as the conditions tonight were perfect (ie cold, but not brass-monkey cold), I decided to try for the full 5K instead of stopping after 30 minutes. And I have to say I sailed through it!!
38.31 isn't the fastest time in the world, but it is a big step up on the 30 mins I should have been aiming for! So I now have a very very big smile on my face, to go with the slight ache in my legs!
Next stop, shiny green GRADUATE badge, and the first steps on the B210K programme. Bring it on!! I reckon I can do anything now!!

Fantastic job, congratulations. I was thinking at the beginning of my W9R3 that I'd attempt to run past the 30 minutes in an effort to go 5K, but my gas tank was on E at the 30 minute mark, with the finish line no where in sight. So kudos to you for not running out of gas.
Thanks very much! I have to say, I know from experience how hard it is to carry on running when Laura tells you to stop, so halfway round I rewound Laura by a good few minutes just to be on the safe side...
Well done to you too, though. 30 minutes is amazing!! This is my second tiime throught the programme - I did it last year to prepare for RfL in the summer, then lapsed totally for 6 months as soon as the race was over. It's surprising how much easier it is second time around.
Thanks very much to everyone for the lovely comments! You guys have been my inspiration - whenever it's cold or raining or I'm tired or I just don't feel like going out, a few minutes on here reading your amazing stories always puts me straight back in the mood!
Thanks, jeannag. And well done you for starting - you've already done the hardest bit of the whole programme! I'll look ofrward to following your progress through it.
