If you are out following Laura, how to do you stop to photograph something?

With great difficulty now - what with wearing two pairs of gloves and fumbling to stop my running watch and mp3 player.

When following the C25K programme I didn't stop, except maybe during the cool down walk home. I live at the top of a 1.5km long hill, so always timed the running part of the podcast to finish before the hill. As I walked the last 10 mins I would sometimes get a quick shot with my phone. Other times I'd take my camera and go for a walk on a non-running day to recee a new route. That's when I snapped my profile photo.

Now I only stop during my long, slow runs -- not when running speed intervals or doing a 'tempo' run. This is when I yank off my gloves and faff about stopping my running watch, and sometimes my mp3 player, and all get for my efforts is a poor quality shot with my phone - usually with my finger over the lens! I don't know why I bother :-(

When I finally get back to doing 10 miles+ trail runs I'm going to treat myself to a new (better, more compact) camera that will fit in my belt bag.

I was going to take a photo a couple of weeks ago, running along Happy Valley, a dead straight, sort of dead flat route, with lovely slopey sides in green grass with trees along the top. A great run. Wanted to share. So running along I got my phone out of my back pocket, still running, unlocked it, still running, pressed the button for the camera, nothing happened. Apparently my phone can't multitask, so as it was timing my run it wouldn't take a photo of it for me to share with you!

One day while I'm walking the dog along there I will remember to take my phone and get a picture for you all.

So far I haven't really been anywhere THAT photogenic but I noticed the blossoms starting to come out in one particular road on my way to work the other day. I could incorporate that road on my run but I just don't don't think I can pause Laura to photograph it. But I should probably run that way to appreciate the spring blossoms anyway.
