When I first posted about running in Bulgaria, people asked for a photo.  Here is one of the lakes on the mountains above our town, where I hope to run eventually.  It is the Pirin mountain, above Gotse Delchev.  I see these mountains plus around 7 other mountain ranges from my house windows.  I am very lucky indeed.

Bulgaria is a beautiful country, I run on the east side near the Black Sea coast, no views like this there though, very flat, long straight roads, although it is very arable, I haven't ventured on to the 'black' roads yet though - might try that next time I'm there.......
