Two photos from my first 5 k race back in October. I was apparently really, really happy in the one on the left at the start line as I was cheering on the kid's 2 k race (and so nervous for my race I felt like getting sick). The one on the right is about 100 meters from the finish line. I think I surprised the athletic looking fellow on the right as I always try for a sprint finish and was flailing around like crazy.
(As a side note, the photos my partner takes suggests that I must run really funny - they all look like I'm running with a real swagger. He describes my sprints at the end as a rocket that's wobbling at the start until it finds it's trajectory. I need him to hide in the bushes to video tape me running . Must work on my form.)
Keep it up newbies! I was never into sports but the program introduces you to running and gets you addicted in a serious way. I'm signed up for a half-marathon at this same event in October. Never would have thought that last June when I plugged in lovely Laura in for the first time.
Happy running folks.

I have seen some very short vids of myself when running - and don't particularly like what I see. I have no "lean" ( which probably accounts for my very slow pace) . too upright and too stiff. I too would like to get a longer video made so that I can see what I am doing "wrong"
Exactly. The problem is if I knew a camera was coming up I'd be more conscious of my form and subconsciously correct it. I'd like to see how I run naturally and correct from there.
Thanks! I got a lot of great ideas from this video. I like how you recorded yourself running both in the distance, and up close. I also like how you ran towards the camera. I think I'll try and set up a video like you did.
