Hi everyone

I'd like to stop hiding behind Morph, but I can't find out how to upload a photo. I've been to "Edit Profile" and read the "Help" page, but it doesn't. How do you do it?

If you're using a tablet or phone then I don't think you can upload one. But from a PC I think it should be by clicking on morph. I think..... but as I'm a tablet user I vould be telling you complete twaddle. Sorry.

Did someone call? I'm on my work computer right now, but during the evening I'll write out some steps for updating your profile on:

- Mac OS-X 10.8 in Safari

- Windows 7 in Chrome Browser and (assuming MrsMarkyD has left one of her 3 (!) iPads in the UK whilst she is in Oslo)

- iPad

Bear with me....

You have to do it on a computer xxx

OK, got my hands on an iPad, and I can confirm that you are not able to update your profile picture (or the profile 'banner') on an iPad.

Next, will try the computers.

support.healthunlocked.com/... misses out some very important steps.

Note that the idea pixel dimensions for your profile picture are 100 x 100 and 1170 x 250 for the 'banner' image (which is not normally seen by other users unless they are browsing your profile). If your picture is larger, then it will be adjusted by the webpage.

Chrome Browser in Windows 7 (and I expect it will be very, very similar on other browsers):

0) Obviously, you need to be logged into your account, and not writing a post in another tab.

1) At the top of the screen is a green 'HealthUnlocked' banner, with your profile pic and name next to it. Click on the little arrow symbol next to your name, and select 'Profile' from the drop-down menu.

2) Your profile summary, User Posts and User Activity are displayed. Click [Edit Profile] on the right-hand side on your 'banner' picture.

3) After clicking [Edit Profile] the photos are overlaid with a message [Upload]

5) Click on the [Upload] button on your profile picture to open a browser window on your file system. Here you can browse on your PC until you find the image that you want to upload.

7) The image needs to be a modest size, less than 4MBytes I suggest. I did crash the page by attempting a 100MByte upload :-) Once you've found the picture, select it and click [Open].

11) Site uploads the picture, and displays it in the little circle. You can move the picture around using the little 'hand' symbol, so the key part of your picture is being shown. Once done, click red [Save].

13) Once you've uploaded & saved your picture, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click [Save Changes] on the right-hand side to save your profile. If you don't do this, your picture may not be persistent.

17) Whilst you are at it, why not update the rest of your profile?

19) Sorry about the geeky prime numbering of the steps. Mark Haddon, anyone?
