Week 1 first run

Hello, have been trying to get fit in the gym and have been reading about all you lovely people on the couch to 5K blog. Well my daughter and I went for our first run today in the fresh air of Dorset, much much harder than being on a treadmill but loved running and walking past all the holiday makers who all smiled at two mad girls (one nearly 50 something lady) running on a bank holiday Sunday early morning in the sun!!!! Can't wait till the next run, may ignore your advice and go tomorrow as we have the day off. Loved being told when to run and when to walk, thank you xx

  • Hello, Botty, so glad you are enjoying the podcast. It is the best thing I have ever done with just enough encouragement and no pressure and it's free. The suport here is great too, some lovely inspirational people who have helped me when I have had technical problems and when I have been nervous starting new weeks. Enjoy.

  • Please stop hi jacking our running forum,to sell your stuff :(

  • I think it's better to take your rest days, although if you've really enjoyed the previous run, it's tempting to do it again. Glad you're having fun with the programme. xxx

  • Thank you for all your comments and words of encouragement, as it happens I have woken up to rain, rain and more rain, so not sure whether I will venture out today, will keep you posted. Typical bank holiday Monday!!
