I feel like a runner!

So I did week 8 run 2 this morning. In the POURING rain! I could see people looking at me as if to say "is she mad??" But I loved it today. I finally feel like a "proper" runner and I'm looking forward to setting myself challenges - I did the programme a couple of years ago but made the mistake of not setting myself any further goals so lost all motivation. I get really hot when I run so today was lovely and comfortable. Got home and was soaked all the way through my waterproof but could not have felt better! I might have high fived myself once I was out of view! ;-)

Well done you! Rain! Hah! We thumb our noses at it!

You must be feeling well chuffed after your good run. Bask in the glory, rest up and get ready for the next run

Yep, I ran in the rain too. Kind of nice isn't it. After a while you just don't notice, except in my case I cannot see out of my glasses.

You feel like a runner because you ARE a runner! :-) And you're doing so well! :-)

Those looks you get when running through the pouring rain: I LOVE those looks! They never, ever cease to make me chuckle! Running in the rain is amazing, I love it. It's so cooling. I too heat up horribly when running, so the rain is always welcome. I get excited when I wake up and can hear the rain pouring down! :D

Good luck for run three.... Then on to graduation week!

Thanks guys, as I run alone it helps to have this site as support. I'm doing my local parkrun on the 21st of this month with a friend and am hoping to do the race for life in July - the same friend is trying to persuade me to do the 10 k rather than 5 though! There's a 10 k road race where I live in September so I've got lots of things in the pipe line! So excited!! :-)

Yeah. I love the rain, and I love running alone but with the virtual c25k buddy group who all kindly slow down to my pace to keep me going! Happy soggy running to you! X
