So run 3 of week 8 just done... again .- it was hard! I'm not sure if I'm struggling more than others but when Laura gives it the 'step it up if you feel you can' at 14 minutes and 5 minutes I honestly think I could not go another teeny bit faster, even if I was chased by lions - and as today's run took me past Colchester Zoo thats not entirely unbelievable - you can hear them roaring from miles away!
So off I trotted, round the big field - my 'running mate' phone app thing told me how far I'd gone and how fast for the first couple of kms and then it said I had to pay if I wanted any more updates and I'm too tight!
No dogs (red or otherwise :-)) or dog poo to avoid today but it was very slippery in parts... managed 4.45kms in 28 mins but when finished had to do hands on knees olympic 100 m style gulp for air... before complying with the brisk walk... I was pretty pleased with that though as it was almost all off road bar 200 metres or so!
SO week 9 coming up... and completion!!

that is brilliant especially if you are mostly off road
have you tried endomondo? I use this app on my blackberry and it tracks me the whole route and gives me the distance/time/average speed etc for free - you can pay and upgrade for something else (not sure what as I am too tight to pay too )
I haven't been to colchester zoo for years - say hello to the lions for me
