Well I haven't had a run for 6 days and good grief did my body tell me about it! I've been resting my leg after I strained my quad and this is the thanks I get!! By the way if you're in a good mood be warned rant approaching!!
First of all my old friend Mr. numb foot turned up, then Mr. quad said, oh no thought I was resting? and started to twinge a bit. Then some new aches appeared, Mr and Mrs. groin (slight ache) appeared. I tried to switch off and actually did enjoy the run believe it or not until in the last few minutes Mr. stitch appeared. A new pain to me who I believe just decided to round everything off nicely!!
Completed run and then they all went of course and jumped on some other runners I think, judging by some of their faces.
Bring on week 9 because I think running for 30 minutes will be easy after that lot following me round!!

Ha ha - when I read your title, as I work in a primary school, 'unwelcome friends' had me thinking of beasties in the hair! Ugh!
Not that all your friends sound any more appealing. I'm impressed that despite all that you managed to enjoy the run - well done for that! I hope your friends don't come to visit me next week, as I've found week 7 pretty tough, and suspect that if I have gremlins like that I'll be walking!
Thank you greenlegs, I think if I hadn't gone out today, I may have left it and left it and well you know the rest! I hope they don't come and see you either! Good luck
