Well lucky for me this run came on a Sunday, no work so nice and rested, managed to up the pace with 5 minutes to go went up another gear and then with 1 minute to go, up again. I put this down to the new shoes, after lots of reading up and watching YouTube made the choice of Asics Novablast 5, one thing I would like to say about the reviews is most of them said these are a very stable shoe! Well if you run ultras and the like and have years of experience then yes I would agree. For us novices not so. Started using them on wk8 runs and did struggle a bit with stability and wobbled my way through 28mins of running , gave me something to think of instead of how long was left!On to week 9 and I am a lot more stable and loving the new shoes. Soft landing and responsive, something I have never experienced before, to be fair never spent so much on 'trainers' before.

I would highly recommend them after 4 runs ( yes Asics I would like some recompense for bigging you up!)

Well one run left and it will be harder as will be a work day but mentally I have this done already!!!

Diamonds on the soles of your shoes - they look just the business….Of all the kit trainers are the things to get spenny on. They protect and support you
