Contemplating footwear for this morning's run. Haven't got snow grippers.

Any experience out there?

Went for the North Face shoes with Vibram soles and Goretex lining, a bit heavier and less "bounce" than my normal running shoes but my feet were warm and dry. Slight sensation of a blister towards the end so might need thicker socks.

i wore my normal trainers for todays parkrun and was fine (even think I got a PB but waiting for confirmation). For me think I'll be OK in my normal ones unless it's icy. :)

I have used my North Face trainers (assume these are the "Hedgehogs"?) running on a snow covered football field and found them a bit heavy going, tried my usual Brooks trainers on the next run in the same place and they were surprisingly OK; I had expected wet feet but maybe the snow was the wrong sort for this!
