Did W5R3 this afternoon - woohoo! How good does that feel! I know that's only halfway in the programme but still can't quite believe how far I've come in five short weeks - from barely being able to run 30 secs to 20 minutes, not fast but well-paced and finishing feeling as if I could have gone further. Okay, not a lot further but definitely not on my knees either, which is what I half-suspected I would be like when I set off this afternoon. Laura was so right when she said in this session that a of lot of the hard physical work has been done and now it's getting your head to believe you can run for longer. On the scales of good and bad sessions, I'd say today's definitely counts as a memorable one - now really looking forward to going for 30 mins, then 5k, then 10k....
Way to go me!: Did W5R3 this afternoon - woohoo... - Couch to 5K
Way to go me!
Well done pinky, keep going, Ed x
Great run, pinky! Best of luck for your progress.
Brilliant, well done it sure does feel good!
Well done Here's to week 6 !
Thanks pinkhat - you are certainly showing me the way to go - week 5 starts Friday for me!
Brilliant!!! I remember midway through just wanting the program to end, I'm happy to see you are already looking at options after C25K. I also went from 1 minutes being horrible to now running 35-40 minutes and beyond if I prepare mentally. It truly is more mental to me then physical. I love reading the week 5, run 3 blogs, such a realization of what our body can do if our mind is willing. CONGRATULATIONS! Did Murphy make his 20 minutes as well? Gayle
Thanks Gayle! Yep, Murph was with me - had to run on the spot for a few seconds to slip his lead on at one point when I spotted some deer crossing our path up ahead, fortunately before he saw them!
