Hi runners,
Managed my penultimate run before graduation today. It seems unreal that I've come this far already. Cold, grey and misty - I felt like I was running through a cloud today (definitely not on one) and got pretty wet through.
Started off on my normal route then took a slight detour (as I knew the puddles would be too large to jump over in my rural second half) which meant cutting through a housing estate. I'm not sure that I was a fan of running this route as it was very up and down (kerbs, drive ways, etc.) but it was good to try it out.
I tried to start slower (my last run I struggled after a fast first km), however it was still a challenge to at first slow down, but then maintain a reasonable pace at the mid-way point. I did manage to pick it up in the final km, which was a good feeling. It's great to reach the end of the 30 minutes feeling tired and feeling that you gave it your all (and that you weren't just hanging on for dear life)!! Still not easy by any means π
I covered 4.15 km, so a long way shy of 5k but glad to have just run for 30 minutes again (twice this week). My next run, my re-graduation, should be on Monday but I'm working away from home for a few days. Depending upon my recovery I may try and go out on Sunday or failing that it will be Thursday.
Cheers all, SD ππ¦πͺ
