second run done :) i woke up this morning still slightly aching from the first run on monday, but i pulled through it. i did miss a 60 sec jog in the middle of today but i kept up the brisk walk and then after the final cool down i walked around the running track twice more to make up for it. i have noticed my recovery rate isnt that great, but it shall get better with time right??

Sounds like you made up for the missed jog. Have you tried stretching to warm up and down? Might help with the aching.

yeh i stretch before i start, and i also skip for about a mintue or two aswell. i just think it's where im not as fit as i used to be, so my recovery rate has slowed down.

Hi Tyler, give it time it will improve. Your body needs time to adapt. I am quite pleased as i have just run four miles, i am cream crackered though! Ed x

As you progress with the programme you will find your recovery becomes a lot easier, usually by the time you start to miss out the walks between the runs! Don't worry about the longer runs though - C25k leads you up to them gradually and, of course, you can repeat runs and take extra rest day if you need to. It's your programme to use as it suits you. Best wishes. :)

It will get better Mate, lots of people on here will tell you that.

I'm just about to start week 2 and having a quick read before the run helps out no end.
