Omg!!! Got my second run under my belt and feeling so wired!! Not bad for a nearly 47 yr old lardy bum πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜πŸ€ͺ

So, observations...

Legs are strong but lung capacity is shite! Got to work on my breathing.

I did a road run tonight rather than the grass run like I did on my first run. I covered a larger distance tonight by 0.3 miles. I guess road is flatter and easier?

I notice I speed up when cars are coming. Vanity. I know I know!! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Overall though I am so chuffed. And shocked!! I don't run. I always said I'd never make a runner. So why am I enjoying it so much!! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜

You’re enjoying it ..... masochist!! I must have missed the part where I was supposed to enjoy it.

Like your bit about speeding up at passing cars, LOL. I’m on a near deserted Trading Estate for the same reason, vanity and pride, no one can see me. I have to drive to it as well, how bad is that!!

Well done you anyway I’ve got my last tomorrow. 🀞

Thank you 😁 I must admit I had to roll over on the floor to get up from my stretches but it's all good ha! Enjoy your W1R3. I'm right on your tail πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

It's addictive ! Beware !

If you are struggling to breathe then it's too fast

You should be able to speak full sentences while running, without gasping for breath πŸ™‚πŸ‘

β€’ in reply toInstructor57

That's what happens when I speed up when the cars come πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But noted, yes I think i was going too fast for sure

Speeding up for cars? Do you think you can catch them up? 🀣

No it's to convince the drivers I am week 9 and not actually going at a week 1 snails pace. I also hold my breath when they pass so they don't see me blowing like a whale πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Wooohooo Mrs! That’s brilliant. I was puffing like a steam train throughout my run and was crawling along hahahaha. You’ve totally got this! Well done.

I think the hardest week for me was the 1st ... actually making myself get out there.

Well done you - you’re on your way now.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Yes it's funny, I had this nervous energy today knowing I was going to do my second run tonight 😬 but I'm hoping I get less nervous and much more eager 😁

Keep it going it’s not far to week 9 from here 😊

Yey to you! And seriously do not think about the passing cars, they’re not putting any effort at all into their journeys and probably

Seeing you makes them envious that you’re out there running at all x well

Done and keep on keeping on x

Ha! I make more of an effort if I see another person!

I thought the same...I'm on week 4😁. I know what you mean about legs and lungs. I get very anxious before a run so tend to focus too much on breathing. I now use a podcast to distract me. It's amazing that listening to two people chatting can do... give it a whirl. Good luck πŸ˜ƒπŸƒ

Your lungs are going to get used to it in the next 2~3 weeks.

Congrats and have fun!

Well done! Lungs just get used to it, and legs just get stronger and stronger. Keep goingπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I'm 50 and have loved every moment.

Well done from one 46 year old lardy bum to another. I never thought I would ever manage to run even a minute without collapsing (memories of being forced to do cross country at school!) but I’m doing it and although it’s hard, it’s rewarding when Laura says I can slow down and do my last five minute walk. I always feel proud that I’m managing it even if I get home looking like a beetroot covered in sweat! Good luck with your runs! Perhaps neither of us will be lardy bums when it’s all over!

Glad I'm not alone and thank you so much for your kind, positive words, it means a lot. Here's to a tough but great journey to fitness and less of the lardy bums 😁❀️
