Omg!!! Got my second run under my belt and feeling so wired!! Not bad for a nearly 47 yr old lardy bum πββοΈπββοΈππ€ͺ
So, observations...
Legs are strong but lung capacity is shite! Got to work on my breathing.
I did a road run tonight rather than the grass run like I did on my first run. I covered a larger distance tonight by 0.3 miles. I guess road is flatter and easier?
I notice I speed up when cars are coming. Vanity. I know I know!! π€¦ββοΈ
Overall though I am so chuffed. And shocked!! I don't run. I always said I'd never make a runner. So why am I enjoying it so much!! π€·ββοΈπ
Youβre enjoying it ..... masochist!! I must have missed the part where I was supposed to enjoy it.
Like your bit about speeding up at passing cars, LOL. Iβm on a near deserted Trading Estate for the same reason, vanity and pride, no one can see me. I have to drive to it as well, how bad is that!!
Well done you anyway Iβve got my last tomorrow. π€
Thank you π I must admit I had to roll over on the floor to get up from my stretches but it's all good ha! Enjoy your W1R3. I'm right on your tail πββοΈ
No it's to convince the drivers I am week 9 and not actually going at a week 1 snails pace. I also hold my breath when they pass so they don't see me blowing like a whale ππ
Wooohooo Mrs! Thatβs brilliant. I was puffing like a steam train throughout my run and was crawling along hahahaha. Youβve totally got this! Well done.
Yes it's funny, I had this nervous energy today knowing I was going to do my second run tonight π¬ but I'm hoping I get less nervous and much more eager π
I thought the same...I'm on week 4π. I know what you mean about legs and lungs. I get very anxious before a run so tend to focus too much on breathing. I now use a podcast to distract me. It's amazing that listening to two people chatting can do... give it a whirl. Good luck ππ
Well done from one 46 year old lardy bum to another. I never thought I would ever manage to run even a minute without collapsing (memories of being forced to do cross country at school!) but Iβm doing it and although itβs hard, itβs rewarding when Laura says I can slow down and do my last five minute walk. I always feel proud that Iβm managing it even if I get home looking like a beetroot covered in sweat! Good luck with your runs! Perhaps neither of us will be lardy bums when itβs all over!
Glad I'm not alone and thank you so much for your kind, positive words, it means a lot. Here's to a tough but great journey to fitness and less of the lardy bums πβ€οΈ
