Today me, Theresa (TJFlute) and Greg met up at the Jigsaw 5k run and what a gorgeous day for it! The setting was fab, blue skies, old planes and the Top Gear test track and it was FLAT!!!
We all managed to meet up OK, messages on here, texts etc....what would we have done years ago...all wear a red carnation?
The route was down the runway and then around the perimiter. After weeks of hills and mud it made a lovely change to be on road and it be flat. We all had a good run with Greg and Theresa shooting off leaving me in their wake but we all had a good run and they were there to cheer me over the finish line (thanks guys) and a new PB....I did it in 31.30 (according to my Garmin) which is a whole 2 and a half minutes faster than I've ever done 5k in before...whhoooooppppp. Was def worth getting up for!!
MrQWest, you were missed....maybe next time you and MrsQWest will be able to make it.

Well done, all those hills paid off. Sorry i couldn't make it. I hope to be running again soon. It'd be good to be able to run for more than a couple of weeks without injury.
Ali, was gutted to miss it as we'd been looking forward to it for the past few months, but it's always the way with the littl'uns kicking up in the night when you least want them to!
Glad you all had fun - maybe it should become a regular thing, meet up two or three times a year at a relatively local race daaaahn saaahf! Speaking to Martin yesterday (the guy who organised the jigsaw run), he said it should be come an annual thing!
