It was absolutely great to meet up with Greg and Ali today, it seemed like I'd known them for years, and I guess I have through this site! And what a day it was. Glorious, cold but sunny. Luckily not windy because it is a very exposed race track.
I hadn't got to run during the week, and haven't run more than 30 minutes since my injury back in the Summer, but I felt in good shape when we set off and I throughly enjoyed it.
We all got a personal best I hit a comfortable but challenging pace and was delighted at my time; the garmin said 27.49, but the results show 25.02. A big difference but I'm happy with either! To come 30th was a real boost for me.
It was such fun!! It looked just like it does on the telly and my three boys and husband won't hear the end of it, because they watch Top Gear a lot, so I will always say "I've run around that track!" and annoy them immensely
We must meet up again next year, maybe around Spring/ early Summer, with a few more of you to join us
