I've got a lovely new one as from tomorrow!

Well my gym membership ran out today, ahhhh I hear you all say but yippee I'm saying.

I had been paying an arm & leg for pretty poor conditions so cancelled my membership and have joined the lovely brand spanking new Aberdeen Sports Village at a whopping cost of - - - - - - - - - - £12.00 pcm. Get an induction on Tuesday for the gym which has about 15 treadmills all with built in TV screens, there are so many classes I can attend I'm spolit for choice. Theres even an indoor track for running (extra cost though) Can't wait for next week, haven't managed a run the past two days as we have freezing temperatures here with loads of ice on the pavements. I'm just not going to risk it, I'll just wait and go to my lovely new gym next Tuesday.

Its brilliant value Viv, its all linked to Abdn Uni and they are trying to encourage older people so there are quite a lot of classes for the older person too. I've no excuse now and really looking forward to using the facilities. Once I've found my way around I may increase the membership to take in the running tracks too which could be good, I'm told I can join one of the groups for a test 'run' beforehand.

Ahhhh Oldgirl (I really dont like calling you that !!!) xxx wots your proper name love... Good for you I am so please for you....sounds like you will be doing the hard yards in pure luxury....15 treadmills with build in screens....how spoilt, that would really make the time go fast eh. The indoor running track sounds good too. You are having freezing temps and we are having such hot weather here, bit cooler today but weather been in 40's very hot especially for running, well I look forward to hearing all about it....enjoy xxx

Hi pinkus, you had a look at the website then, brilliant place I was so impressed. Only downside is that I have to cross the city to get to it unlike my other gym which was a 5 minute drive or an 8 minute run!!! Will see how things go though as the traffic shouldn't be too bad at the times I will be going, fingers crossed.

Such good value-worth paying out. As I see it now a gym a waste of money, but I would definitely join if one in my area offered that for membership. I'm sure you will enjoy and will be so much safer there than on the icy streets. never know you might get others to join the family, lol!!

Got confirmation, my gym induction is set for Tuesday morning. Because the machines are all so new and up to date they prefer new members to have this induction, it safeguards themselves as well as the member. Induction is followed by BLT, no no not a bacon, lettuce & tomatoe sandwich, its a bums, legs & tums class, eeekkkkk after 90 minutes in the gym, heavens above will this old body last the pace I wonder!?!
