Managed a rather slow 5K run this morning in 36 mins, no hip pain so hoping to be able to get going out and do some serious Speed running by the end of this week.
By eck though it feels good to be running, ooh OK jogging again

And she's back!!!!!
Good on yuh! x I would be chuffed if I ran slowly for 5k and found I had done it in 36 mins! Damn good effort!
Great to hear that you are back. Like Deryn I think 5k in 36 mins is more than respectable. I'm trying to get my 5k time to under 40 mins so I have the confidence to do a parkrun. Our local one is pretty fast. I don't mind being last but I would hate if they had to send out search parties and sniffer dogs to find me after everyone else had gone home!
Your last sentence made me spray tea over my laptop, I can see the headlines now......
Ooohhh thats brilliant pingle, keep working at it, it does happen but just takes time.
Pingle, dont wait, I was taking 42 mins when I did my first and despite thinking I was doing rubbish/taking more walk breaks, I did it in just over 38 mins! x
Lol...a "slow" 36 minute 5K? Sounds like you're storming right along to me, Oldgirl!
Good going, you....
Hi Oldgirl
So nice to hear that your back...and no pain what a bonus....you must be so happy xxx
