Managed a rather slow 5K run this morning in 36 mins, no hip pain so hoping to be able to get going out and do some serious Speed running by the end of this week.

By eck though it feels good to be running, ooh OK jogging again :)

Good on yuh! x I would be chuffed if I ran slowly for 5k and found I had done it in 36 mins! Damn good effort! :-)

that's exactly what I thought! She's just showing off you know ;-) :-D

Seriously, well done Oldgirl, great to hear you are back up and running.

Great to hear that you are back. Like Deryn I think 5k in 36 mins is more than respectable. I'm trying to get my 5k time to under 40 mins so I have the confidence to do a parkrun. Our local one is pretty fast. I don't mind being last but I would hate if they had to send out search parties and sniffer dogs to find me after everyone else had gone home! :-)

Pingle, dont wait, I was taking 42 mins when I did my first and despite thinking I was doing rubbish/taking more walk breaks, I did it in just over 38 mins! x

Hi pingle

Like you I am still trying to get 5k under 40 mins. My personal worst is 44 mins at the moment. Started couch to 5k in mid July, have graduated but still can't speed up. The important thing is to keep running. Keep going

Lol...a "slow" 36 minute 5K? Sounds like you're storming right along to me, Oldgirl!

Good going, you....
