Finished Week 8 tonight. I can't believe I've come this far, from being unable to run the length of a football pitch at the beginning of October! I went to see a podiatrist last week, and he explained I'd been doing the wrong stretches, so I have a whole new routine. I also saw a physio for a deep tissue sports massage as I'd been pretty sore. I thoroughly recommend this if you've been suffering. So one more week to go. I've already downloaded 5k-10k app and am doing my first park run on December 1st. (I got sponsored for a local animal sanctuary I volunteer at, to make sure I went through with it - apologies for the tin rattling but here's the link justgiving.com/chris-lindsay1 ). Fingers crossed all goes well this week!
And onto the final week...: Finished Week... - Couch to 5K
And onto the final week...
Well done and congratulations on joining a parkrun. I've registered but not actually made it to one yet.
Thanks I knew the only way to force myself to do it (on a Saturday morning) was to commit to a fundraising thing. I have to do it now, or I owe people a fortune
Well done and good luck with the final week and your Parkrun, they are good fun (though knackering) and you will feel great afterwards. Good Luck
Cheers Rolphie
Welcome to grad week and Congrats for entering the parkrun! Gayle
Hi Chris, good luck for the Parkrun, i have a go at them but have to walk some of the 5K. i will get there though!
Cheers everyone. Is Park Run somehow harder than the 5K on the app tho? Can't really see how! Here's a question: what sort of distance should one be racking up to make sure you're actually running 5k? ie: how much more on top of 5k to account for the 10 minutes brisk walk each side?
