Week 9 final run ... rained off

I did run 2 of week 9 last Friday and I was contemplating doing my graduation run yesterday, but I was shattered after a week off work with lots of long walks, 3 runs, loads of hula hooping, 2 sea swims and some hiit. So I took the dog for a walk and considered it otherwise a day of rest (130,000 steps last week in total and my body just said no more, thank you). So then the plan was to take the dog out this morning and run this evening. Neither thing has happened because it's been blowing a gale and raining all day like it might be a good idea to build an ark and I've just decided not to make myself miserable and wet. So, I've gone from 20,000 steps a day last week to 2,000 today and am feeling thoroughly disgruntled. I don't mind running in the cold, I don't mind if it's a bit wet, but I draw the line at the filthy mess it is out there right now. I shall find myself some indoor exercise of some sort and have resolved to do my run tomorrow whatever happens, but it's made me really narky. Anyone else staying indoors and wishing they could get out?

Well done you... listening to your body and taking notice... it can be hard but... best to wait and in you stay... a better run another day!

I was out yesterday so the fact that I am inside here at the coast, where it is also torrential rain and stormy winds... does not feel too bad:) Id did my arm workout and yoga today too!

You have had a lot of exercise this week so, a rest may be just the thing... that run will be there and the badge... I have it polished as we speak! x

Ha, brilliant, thank you! I may just concentrate tonight on the bits of my body that don't work properly, rather than trying to up my step count. So, some lower back/hip stretches and I've found a brilliant YouTube video of manipulations for stiff toe joints, which seem to be really helping, so I may just writhe about on the floor and then fondle my feet 🤣🤣

Good plan.. try some of the exercise on the S and F Forum too, maybe!

I should of stayed indoors , completed w9 r1 today was muddy and very windy and I slipped and ended up covered in dirt 😀 But I had it planned to get to final run on Friday so had to in my mind , go for it , mad I know !! That's me lol 🤪
