I hope you don't mind Isabella - but your term really summed up my whole effort, so I've mentioned it in my blog: hittingthegroundrunning.wor...

Great. I am now a follower x At this rate I will have to give up running to spend more time indoors reading 'tinernet!

Thanks, Deryn61 (were you born in 1961, by any chance? Obviously, you don't have to answer that!). But the whole point is that you decide to run more as a result of reading t'internet! That is it's greatest strength and weakness - it's like babies and puppies - a great time waster, but... also a great inspirer. Without this site I really don't think that I would have kept going with the C25K programme. It's been like the equivalent of a swmming float or that private voice in your head that says "If they can do it, so can I."

Enough, already.

I so agree...not sure if I would of continued without finding this community. Viv, I loved your blog posting today of how you see yourself. Was the second pic you? Gayle

It is, Sue. Definitely. I realised tonight that starting at 50 has it's advantages, cos things can only get better. People that started running years ago would be slowing down by now, but we won't, we still have the best in front of us! Thanks for reading the blog.

That is so true Viv! When I see my peers slowing down with age I am really proud of myself that I am so active and healthy in comparison. I certainly dont feel my age that's for sure......and running is certainly helping!

I don't mind at all Viv, juffle away! I'm enjoying your blog and like you say, the support on this site is amazing and reading the blogs is so inspiring and makes you want to just keep on running!
