Felt like a runner

Today's run was the best I've ever done, not only in terms of time and distance, but I actually felt like a runner! Also there were lots of cheery people around smiling and saying good morning as they passed. It just felt like everything fell into place, even with the right music coming on just as I needed it, so happy days here!

Off on holiday tonight, and ideally would like to get 2 runs in while I'm away, though they will be on a treadmill. I want every run to be like today!

Hi Slater - what a great feeling :-). Which run were you doing? Just a wee warning, don't try to make every run like to day otherwise you'll be a bit disappointed - I find that it's the gruelling runs that lead to the really great ones which come along once in a while - almost like a reward - LOL :-). Sooooooooo if you can make every run like today's THEN PLEASE LET US ALL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING :-). Happy hols, Sara :-)

Lol I think it was probably a one off, though it came at a good time to remind me that runs can be good! Also I hadn't thought of it being a reward for the hard runs. That's a good way to see it!

I graduated a couple of weeks ago and am just trying to keep going out 3 times a week at the moment, with no pressure regarding time or distance. I've just downloaded the 5k+ podcasts so will give those a whirl when I'm home.

Hey again Slater :-)... That sounds like a REALLY sensible and relaxed way of going about things.

Just to remind me I am human, life has gone absolutely stark raving bonkers and has put me off reaching my Grad Badge on Friday so I'm going to just kick back and get the 3 runs in as soon as I can but with the aim of just then going out and running for a while without any timing or programme and then do the 5K+.

BTW, a little while ago I posted a link to the complete B210K podcasts by Sam (someone, forget who). But CaroleC posted them up way way back and I just happened to come across it soooo I can post it again if you like (if I can find it...)

Cheers and good luck, Sara :-)
