Since the start of the longer runs, I've been leaving two days between runs to help my recovery. I last ran on Thursday morning so would have been due to run tomorrow morning but I'm having my 12 and 8 year old Nieces stay over tonight, so tomorrow was out of the question.
After working nights a couple of times this week, I couldn't face setting my alarm for a run, so ended up setting out on my route at 10am. Boy did I find it tough this morning! I wouldn't classify it as a bad run but it was hard going. More than a couple of times a met a gremlin or two telling me to stop and i almost did a couple of times but I thought back to the book by Ruth Fields (run, fat b!tch run) and summoned my inner grit doctor who told me in no uncertain terms to keep moving
I'm so glad I dug deep and keep on going. I can't believe that I'm about to enter my graduation week
30 minutes here I come!
