Well, this morning dawned very wet.
I had intended going for my second walk/run/wheeze/walk/run/wheeze session this afternoon, after a de-cluttering session in my bedroom. The de-cluttering phase one went superbly. With the help of a highly efficient friend I rediscovered floors and walls that I haven't seen for a decade. 3 bin bags were filled and 3 charity bags stuffed to capacity.
As promised by the Met Office, by lunch time the sun emerged from its nebulous duvet. The de-cluttering continued with unabated enthusiasm. Many spiders were rendered homeless thanks to said friend's fervour with the hoover nozzle.
However, as 3 o'clock approached, our time limit for phase one, my vision worsened. Everything to the left of my field of vision appeared to return to its cluttered condition. No the clutter goblins hadn't launched a revenge attack, it was the recurrence of the familiar double vision. This was swiftly followed by the queasiness and the feeling of unreality. So, session two of walk/run/wheeze was postponed as the only solution is to close my eyes for at least 30 minutes and wait for my vision to calm down. This left no time before dark to go out.
"That's not a problem" I hear you scream, But I live in a village with no street lighting, none of the neighbouring villages have street lighting, and I'm not confident to enough to drive to the nearest town to waddle around the streets.
I'm hoping that the Met Office have got it right for tomorrow. If so, it should be dry my 3pm. Fingers crossed for a dry afternoon and single vision.
