W1R2, didn't happen.

Well, this morning dawned very wet.

I had intended going for my second walk/run/wheeze/walk/run/wheeze session this afternoon, after a de-cluttering session in my bedroom. The de-cluttering phase one went superbly. With the help of a highly efficient friend I rediscovered floors and walls that I haven't seen for a decade. 3 bin bags were filled and 3 charity bags stuffed to capacity.

As promised by the Met Office, by lunch time the sun emerged from its nebulous duvet. The de-cluttering continued with unabated enthusiasm. Many spiders were rendered homeless thanks to said friend's fervour with the hoover nozzle.

However, as 3 o'clock approached, our time limit for phase one, my vision worsened. Everything to the left of my field of vision appeared to return to its cluttered condition. No the clutter goblins hadn't launched a revenge attack, it was the recurrence of the familiar double vision. This was swiftly followed by the queasiness and the feeling of unreality. So, session two of walk/run/wheeze was postponed as the only solution is to close my eyes for at least 30 minutes and wait for my vision to calm down. This left no time before dark to go out.

"That's not a problem" I hear you scream, But I live in a village with no street lighting, none of the neighbouring villages have street lighting, and I'm not confident to enough to drive to the nearest town to waddle around the streets.

I'm hoping that the Met Office have got it right for tomorrow. If so, it should be dry my 3pm. Fingers crossed for a dry afternoon and single vision.

I've been clearing out my bedroom today too! Very satisfying and reasonable exercise.

I hope you are feeling better now and are well enough to go for a run tomorrow.

Hi Earl,

good luck for the run tomorrow. I just finished W1R3 this evening and i am a little weary and stiff to be honest. Still, i am looking forward to starting week 2 on Monday. I hope your vision behaves and you succeed.

Strangely I have the energy to contemplate a run, but not to de-clutter ... Horribly wet where I am, hope it's ok kfor you.

Horribly wet here too, but the Met Office have promised me it'll be dry by 3pm.

The double vision has gone. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in bed this morning drinking my usual bucket of earl grey tea and basking in the de-clutteredness of my bedroom (well, half of my bedroom.

I can recommend the de-cluttering, very therapeutic. I do have a tendency to become over enthusiastic though and in danger of going from extreme clutteredness to minimalist. It's a good job I don't have easy access to a skip!

Have decided to go out this afternoon, rain or no rain!!

Best of luck, earl-grey! Are you, by any chance, clearing out clothes that are too big for you now? That would be a double whammy in the satisfaction stakes!

Not at that point yet, but hope the C25K will help. No, it was just 'stuff'. 10+ years of 'stuff'. Stuff I don't need, that I'd forgotten I even had. Stuff that had been dumped and never found a home. Just stuff, but lots of it and all the dust and cobwebs that went along with it. All gone :-)

Not what you're looking for?
