Hi all,

I'm on week 8 and i've found myself having to take a pit stop at about 10 minutes to stretch my calves/achillies a quick strech and i'm fine but i just wondered if there's anythign i can do to prevent me having to actually stop. Shoudl i perhaps try to strech half way through the warm up walk?

Thanks in advance, Allie

I'm in the same situation as well, so advice would be greatful. I get really frustrated from having to stop.

I stretch before and after as well.

Hi Phoenix5422 I'm glad it's not just me. Hopefully someone will have some advice.

I suffer from the same problem sometimes - especially my left calf. I find I hold a lot of muscular tension there. Recently I invested in a small hand held massager (£12 TK MAxx) and give my calves a daily massage with it - a tennis ball can work just as well too - look it up on the internet. I find this helps with my running, although some days I need to stop and stretch and not others!!???

They are also good techniques for finding any other tension you tend to ignore as well. Hope this helps
