Back where I started?

Well, not quite! After a very 'wobbly' weekend (but really encouraged by all your support) I thought I'd give 'Stepping Stones' a try this morning and go back to the park where I started out on W1R1. I chose this park originally because it's very flat and very small (one lap around the path is about one third of a mile) so I was never too far from the enterance and my car - if I wanted to give up! I haven't been there for a while and what a difference a couple of months makes. When I did my very first 'run' back in June it was a bright sunny afternoon and the local croquet club were out in force. This morning it was misty, grey and raining - no sign of the croquet club, just me and a couple of damp dog walkers for company. But I set off with Laura and ran for 30 mins non stop. Didn't worry out speed or distance - just ran, and I did it!

Well done. I've just come back to the blogsite after a long absence so I don't know how wobbly you were, but it's great you've done the 30 minutes. I've just done the speed run and I feel a bit of a cheat at only having to do 15 minutes! I was planning to try'Stepping stones' in a couple of days. What does it involve? Is it very different from a straight 30 minute run? How are you feeling?

Glad you got your mojo back! Well done!

Well done. I use a small park too, because the gate is in a homeward direction.

I put a blog on the other day that I went out and ran, slow'ish, steady but just ran because I could, you can too. Running doesn't always have to be about speed and strenuous training, it sometimes does you good to just go out and enjoy the scenery and take stock of your surroundings. Come back home and know that you have done some exercise thats made you feel good about yourself. Everyone loses some of their mojo now and again, has a few bad runs perhaps but the main point is that you pick yourself up and carry on. I think you used the best tactics and went back to a nice place and had a good run. :)
