Can't quite believe I've done it, all 27 runs complete.
Just under two months ago I started my journey having never ran outside before, embarrassed about what people might think! I remember the first couple of runs in my small local park wanting to stop and sit at every bench I went past.
I've varied my route since and today I went back to the park and ran round three times plus some extra roads around to make up the time. And that's it, couchto5ksmashed!!
I'm doing my second parkrun on Saturday and some consolidation runs then I'm going to carry on, after all, if I can run 5k, I can run 10k! I never thought I would be saying that. ππ
To anyone in the early weeks, trust the programme, keep it slow, have a strict rule of at least one rest day in between runs, we all get bad days where it feels very hard but also amazing days when it feels amazing and finally core exercises/Pilates/yoga will improve performance and reduce muscle pains.
Thanks to the community for all the support and helping me every step of the way. πππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
