Not running at the moment

I woke up today with a sore big toe, red and hot, and hurting to walk on and touch. I have an infected toe, don't ask how I got it, the dr. certainly didn't!!! He was running very late and I had 3 things to ask about, the last of which was my knee. After painful toe and painful shoulder, he said he'd dealt with 2 things and that was enough!?!?!?!?!?. I was so upset and still am now! If he had apologised for running late and suggested making another appointment, I'd have been quite happy. I'm wondering whether to complain but it will be awkward if I have to see him again. Anyway, I can't run at the moment and I'm a bit sad about that ): ): ):

Wow that's awful! I would definitely complain and then switch doctors within your surgery. We pay for this service and you deserve better! And I'm so sorry about your toe. Rest up and you'll be back running in no time!

sorry to hear you are poorly, hope all recovered soon. I would complain. Maybe pop in to your local walk in clinic if you have one near you, or book to see a different doctor. As you say, he could have asked you to make another appointment, there is no need to be rude or abrupt with you

Stayinbed, sending healing thoughts your way. Sounds like the doc needs a lesson in bedside manners!

Thanks every one! Think it's to early to be feeling better yet, I think the anti biotics are making me feel sick, something I never normally suffer with. I'm just hoping to be on track again soon.

How rude! I agree, think you should complain!

Sorry to hear you're under the weather, hope you're soon well and able to run again. Antibiotics are horrible but they will hopefully do their job and make you feel better (unlike the doctor).

Thanks Soozz! The tablets are starting to work, today I actually had the energy to get up and stay up! I'm looking forward to running again, it's been 5 days!!!

Awww, that sounds nasty stayinbed - I had an infected toe once and it didn't half hurt, hope you feel better soon, it's horrible when you can't run when you want to.

I'm glad I'm not the only one notbad! I just wish I knew why it happened. I went to bed whole and healthy, then during the night my toe swelled, got hot, and hurt! Anyway, I feel so much better today than I did yesterday, so I'll be back!!!
