So, I've done R2 of W1 and only 25 runs to go! Actually, really happy to have found something to guide me through this so here's to 25 more. Time and effort will tell but its been a while since I did any running (around 30 years). So many of you on here seem to be succeeding which is helpful to read about. Keep it up!

Well done on completing W1,R2 and having a great attitude towards the rest. The weeks will pass surprisingly quickly and the goal is totally achieveable. I'd never run in my life before, was 6st overweight and very unfit, but I went from couch to running for 30 minutes in the nine weeks. I'm very slow and can't do 5K in 30 mins, but that's a goal to continue working towards. Best of luck with the programme. It is excellent.
Well said Legion, I second it. I am still 4 stone overweight and used to smoke 30 a day and It took me 10 weeks and probably about 5 runs more to complete the course as I had a blip part way through but I got there. I graduated last friday and ran 6.8 K last Tuesday How long it takes or what distance you get to is irrelevant. Just dont give up . If you get down or disheartened bob on here and share it .Any negative thoughts will soon disappear. good luck with the rest of the programme.
I'm sure you'll do brilliantly.. i'm sure they are many of us on here who thought they'd never be able to achieve anything.. but before you know it you're halfway through and RUNNING!!!!! It's madness i also haven't run for about 23yrs and managed W5R1 today.. Good luck
Well done, and as someone who hadn't willingly run for 35 years and was very overweight, before starting this, IT IS THE DOGS DOODAHS!
Well, a big thank you to all those who left me a comment. I REALLY appreciate it.
