Week 5 Run 1 - Not as hard as I thought.

Just finished Couch to 5K week 5 run 1 that is 31 minutes of exercise and 15 minutes of running. It really was not as bad as I had built myself up to think it would be. It was nice to keep it down to only 3 runs and I am looking forward to the next run (W5R2): Friday 14th when it will only be two 8 minute runs.

It is great to feel the start of Fall in the air and the warmth of the midday sun as I do it. I think that for part of today's run I even started to forget I was running and just enjoy the surroundings. Only for an instant, but definitely it felt normal to be running.

well done and great to hear you found it a good experience. I've got mine tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a positive blog to write also!

I did wk 5 run 2 this morning and although began to struggle at the end of the first 8 mins, I did 8 mins 33 secs before looking at my stop watch! pleased with that..... not so sure of the next one though!

Yes, I need to think about them one at a time as well. The two 8 min ones are a challenge not sure about 20 min. I look forward to doing the R2 on Friday.
